Great app over all but wish I had the ability to freeze my card in the app

I use the app to monitor spending and budget. I have multiple accounts and don’t use all of the accounts constantly. It would be nice to have a option to freeze the card to prevent spending in the case of identify theft. I have this option in all the apps of the other institutions I have cards through. Other then that I love the app.

Real time transaction alert feature still not working.

When are you going to fix the real-time transaction alert feature of this app? The old app would alert me immediately by email and/or text when there was a transaction against my accounts, but since the new app launched several years ago, the real time transactions alert feature has never worked. I have to sign into the app to see what recent transactions have hit my account. Then I might get an email and text the next day letting me know what transaction have occurred. I have unloaded and reloaded the app, turned off and turned back on all of the alerts, and nothing has worked. I have turned on every alert available just to try and get at least one alert to work. It’s not my stuff, it’s the app. I called customer service before I even downloaded this app(this was prior to the new and improved version),and was told that this feature was available so that you could keep track of the funds coming out, and going into your accounts in real time. That way if a transaction popped up that you didn’t recognize, you could call the bank immediately, and make sure that someone wasn’t messing with your accounts. With all the fraud, and stealing of funds from accounts that’s been going on in the banking world, I feel this is a very important feature, and should be worthy of immediate attention from the developers. I called about this situation several years ago when the new and improved version was first launched, and was told that they were working on it, but years later it’s still not fixed. Please fix this very important feature. Don’t get me wrong, other than the above problem, I think the app is great, and everyone I’ve ever talked to at customer Service, or at my branch,(Omak, WA) have been nothing but kind and helpful. Thank you.

I like many features of this app and also like WaFd Bank and its services. I do have one serious concern about the mobile app, however. Up until about 8-9 months ago, I was able to view and print copies of me cancelled checks using my iPad or my iPhone. Last summer (2023) this function is no longer available to me. When I click on “view check” , I get an essentially blank screen with a small square box in the middle with an ‘x’ in it—but no check view. Clicking on the little box, or anywhere else in the screen, does nothing. I have reported this issue directly to the bank, but so far, my problem has not been resolved. I am still able to use my iPad and iPhone to view cancelled checks from my account with a different bank, so I know my iPhone and iPad still have the capability. I am hoping that the Developers can suggest a solution to resolve this issue. For me, the app would receive a five star rating were I able to use this feature again.

That being said, I heavily relied on being able to see how much I had to spend each month using the monthly tracker in app as well as the budgeting tool in app. Sadly, both of those features have disappeared from the app as well as from the website with the recent change. I know that my singly voice is not enough to get these features back, and they were just that- handy features, so my life goes on. But, it was a crushing reality to wake up one day and find the features gone. Most third party sources charge you for the tools that I trusted my bank to provide for me to use safely. Thank you, WaFd, for the time I had with those features!
