The Thrive app works with sensor-enabled and MFi-certified hearing aids from Starkey, Audibel, NuEar, MicroTech and AGX® Hearing. These hearing aids must be purchased from a hearing professional. Fall Alert and Activity and Engagement tracking are only available with sensor-enabled hearing aids.

When I first got my hearing aids over 5 years ago, I was so excited that I will be able to hear my texts alerting me to my earmolds. I was so disappointed when I had to get my hearing aids upgraded and thrive was also upgraded too and that’s when I lost my favorite app setting for the alarm text setting from thrive has been removed. We tried everything to see if one could be replaced thru my iPhone. No luck there. Please Thrive/Starkey, please return the alarm setting for text/email/social. That was my number one request for me to have this hearing aids. Until I get my alert setting back I’m giving this a 2 stars. Will give it full 5 stars once I have it back

Thank you for the comment. The hearing aids will stream any alert from the iPhone. Check to see if you have the sound activated for the each alert you wish to hear, and your phone isn't on mute. The iPhone controls are streaming functions.

UPDATE - App has NOT worked since moving to Spain. Was told it was because I had purchased my iPhone in the US. DOES NOT WORK EVEN AFTER BUYING A NEW IPHONE IN SPAIN! Keeps giving me the same message- Update needed, then crashes!!!This is an update to my prior review where I had deemed this app worthless. The Starkey Evolv AI 2400 hearing aids enter Edge mode by tapping on your ear! This creates issues when chewing, crunching, wearing a mask, etc. as the hearing aids think you are entering Edge mode. My audiologist disabled this functionality and almost everything works well now. Now more constant ‘Normal’ being spoken, or trilling rings over and over. However Stream Boost is an issue. Even when not attempting to listen to music or video- just surfing the web in my phone or playing games turns on Stream Boost, even if I have the sound for a gamer set to off! This is annoying!

Edge mode isn't designed to stay active. It helps when in an environment that is difficult. Turn it on and when you leave the environment you need to turn Edge mode off. Stream boost will respond to any show that could be streamed. You can turn this option off as well.

The only thing I can use this app for is to mute out people/sounds that I don’t wish to hear. The location setting rarely ever works. The car setting hardly ever initiates when it supposed to. When these settings do take effect they don’t stay on. I’ve completely removed the app and reinstalled and still the same ole. When answering the phone the audio Never switches to my aids. Now after removing the app from my phone and resetting my phones network settings I can’t set any one of my custom settings to my home location. What a waste of time.Update: it’s a freakin miracle… I’m now able to delete the geo tag from the Normal setting that BLARES in my ear every time I select it. I am now able to create custom settings called HOME. DONE!

The Edge Mode feature assesses the patient's current environment and once activated, makes smart, immediate adjustments to improve their listening experience. If the signal-to-noise ratio is negative Edge mode will select a comfortable setting. If the SNR is positive the feature will select the best response for your prescription. All you need to do is remember to turn it off when you exit that environment. The goal is to give one total control over the hearing environments and the hearing devices. You have sound space, or you can use the equalizer to create custom memories. One can also set the app to basic and use the iPhone to monitor the health settings.

First of all the amp is not up-to-date since iOS 18 or newer I have a iOS 18.3. They are passing been updated in a while to be compatible. Also, I never seeing a firmware update for my hearing aids which is frustrating. And the sound keeps cutting out, disconnecting from my phone, and one of the hearing aids keeps flipping the one and off like connecting and disconnecting from the app. I said, keeps trying to connect to my iPad when I don’t want to connect. I shouldn’t have to turn Bluetooth off for my iPad to get it to stop trying to connect. I wanted to stay connected to my iPhone.

The Thrive Hearing Control app doesn't need an update. The latest update does not change any of the settings our app uses. You will need to turn off Bluetooth on your iPad as well as handoff on your phone if you want to stop these concerns. Handoff will let the iPad connect to your hearing aids. This could cause intermittent dropping from the Bluetooth.
