The app does not delete videos and pictures when you upload them, it just stays on your phone’s storage slowly bloating the size of this app. There’s no way to delete all videos and pictures as a whole, you have to do them one by one or completely delete the app from your phone and then having to reinstall it and setup your login all over again. Overall we just use this app just for taking photos or videos, it just easier to use the online version on our work computers.

I work for a dealership that used cdk service for years. Management decided cdk was too unreliable and buggy so we tried to switch to xtime. This app somehow made cdk service look like gods gift to dealers which is beyond impressive considering how terrible cdk is. This app has horrible video and picture quality as well as when a car is checked in by a lot attendant a service writer can not acess the repair order on their desktop. A writer would have to physically take a ipad from the lot attendant and take over the process that way. This was wildly inefficient and limited the speed a repair order can be written dramatically increasing customer wait times. This also made everyone’s job much harder adding the need to track down which ipad had which customer’s information. This company also sent out 3 representatives to train us who frankly did not have a clue what they were doing and basically sat there and did nothing while the system crashed and burnt. I know this was not exactly xtime’s fault as a company but their employees were wildly unprofessional and one of them was even clearly high on the job which was a whole different issue but these people should be vetted better than this from a service that im sure was not in the slightest bit cheap. This was a long review but to sum it up this made the dumpster fire that is cdk service look like a fantastic piece of software.

So as the title states I updated the app this morning 8/6/25 and found I can’t make a video as required for my job now. Does not open camera as it should. I was in a proceed of making a video only 33seconds so far paused to continue tearing apart the car so more for inspection then says maximum limit reached then boom can’t make a video after that. Also before the update. If I was to receive a call the video ends and would have to start all over again which is very frustrating. And I will guarantee it continues even with this new update if it decides to work. You were using truvideo to do videos which takes a little bit longer to use, but is actually more user-friendly. and has an alignment video limit of 10 minutes and then compile it using AI. It seems that this time portion of the app is not user-friendly, nor is it economical and just plain and simply out of date compared to the competitors.

When I originally got this app I preferred the camera through the app over the camera on my phone, then you guys updated the app, and now when I use the camera with the flash, I may as well be taking a picture of the sun. Way over exposed, every picture comes out way way too bright white. The camera in the app used to capture images very similar to Snapchat. Now it takes pictures that are unusable. Yes my camera is fine on every other app, no my camera hasn't changed, yes it's the update that was performed on this app. Which made other improvements but destroyed the camera quality, I'd give 5 stars 10 times if you'd please return the camera function to how it was when I got the app originally. Also, if I open up dealerchat in app, I can't get back to inspection without closing the app and reopening it. Anyway, yeah. Thanks for your time
