…and in some ways I do. I’m currently on the last day of a free trial and will cancel today. It’s comprehensive and I like the look and customization of the widgets, but they don’t update consistently. Some days/times, they update every 20 minutes; so days/times they update hourly; other days/times they don’t update at all until you open the app. What’s the point of glanceable information if it’s inaccurate? Yes, I’ve tried all of the tricks to get the widgets to update. This is the exact reason I cancelled my Healthview subscription: the widgets break and stop updating the information from the Apple Health app and Apple is too stupid to create their own health widgets.

Great app that needs a few enhancements

So far I’m really enjoying the app. I paid $9.99 for the annual membership so I could manually add activities / workouts after they’re completed. (Helpful for times you forgot to start a workout OR didn’t have your watch on.) The biggest issue I’ve encountered is the inability to edit a workout after it’s completed. For example, if you choose to start the wrong activity due to a mis-aimed tap on your watch. That’s pretty frustrating. The other minor issue I encountered today is that the app auto-paused my workout when I stopped to pick up my dog’s poo. Pausing is fine, I just didn’t know it had happened. I didn’t realize it until 3-4 minutes later when I looked at my watch to check my heart rate. Not a deal breaker, I just would have liked a discernible alert on my watch. (And if the app noticed I paused walking, why couldn’t it detect when I started moving again?) Overall, I really enjoy the app, its Apple Watch abilities, and its integration with the Activity app. Definitely worth $9.99/year.

Doesn’t work like I thought it would.

- The original application on my watch when I first got it was perfect. It all of a sudden disappeared and now I have exercise programs that don’t seem to suit my needs. I cycle in my fitness room and I would just like all of the information as a result of that cycling heart rate, calories and whatever else would go with that. I don’t seem to get that on this program yet maybe I don’t know how to use it but there oughta be some instructions that cover these things. I use a stationary bike in my fitness room for 30 minutes every day and I used to get information on just about everything applying to that and now I get nothing! So I think the application app is not at all useful! all on my Apple Watch as well as my iPhone. Now I get hardly anything on my watch! The only data I get on my watch now is when I walk down to the fitness room. So it shows two minutes, but it doesn’t show anything about my workout on the stationary bike! It only shows strength training and I don’t do strength training. I do cycling on a stationary bike.

Hello and thank you for reaching out. Our Apple Watch app only displays values stored in your Apple Health/Fitness apps. Are you referring to the native Apple app?
Lack of most useful metric views or groups
Tomes JT
I expected this app to fill the void Apple Fitness Trends and Summaries leaves to users. But Fitness View doesn’t seem to fulfill that gap either. One example:My running group and I would like to see a simple view that is easy to find the total running or hiking distance per time period with total elevation gain.As it is now elevation gain seems to be a unrepresented totaled metric. Also not clear if “running + walking distance” includes “Hiking”. Being able to pair multiple exercise metrics into a time range view would be great. examples : Running + Hiking Distance with Elevation gain over a week/month/year Biking distance + elevation gain over week/month/yearBiking + Running distance + elevation gain over week/month/year Also, there is no group/team metric view, that is really disappointing one of the biggest missing data points with Apple Watch/Fitness is even when “Competing” it is only based on Ring closures as opposed to more goal/metric based numbers such as a group goals. For example a group goal to individually run 200 miles a month and see how everyone is doing in near real time. Or to bike 30K elevation gain in a month. As it is now that can only be done partially through Strava/Fitness and adding up each individual session manually. App has potential but really just a slightly more in depth Apple fitness app. Also the widgets never get created and my app always crashes (on latest iOS). Happy to re-review after updates or speak to developers more. Had high hopes for app even with premium version it disappoints still.
