The Chase mobile app is amazing! I can pay all my bills online and setting up autopay is very simple. I can keep track of my credit scores too as well as each individual credit card. Anytime I purchase something it automatically shows up on my account right after the purchase. Chase takes security very serious too! If you lose your card or suspect fraud, you can put a hold on your card or even cancel it right on the app! There are also generous perks when having chase credit cards and you can use your reward points directly through the app to get cash back or gift cards. If you have teenagers, you can link all their accounts to yours through your app so that you can keep track of all their spending and what they’re doing with their money. That has been really amazing over the years and I have been able to teach my kids how to save and handle money. Well in this app is helped so much. You can transfer money easily between accounts in your app with Zelle Pay if you owe each other money. Chase also has an amazing team of people who watch your account closely. If you are planning on leaving the country, make sure you call the 800 number and let them know. Otherwise you risk than putting a hold on your card because if it is used outside the country or far away from where you live, they will suspect fraud and automatically put a hold on your card. That’s how great their security it! My husband and I love to travel so as long as you call them and let them know everything will be great! Over all there could not be a better banking app!
Monthly service fee

I get a monthly service fee of $12 in my account ending in 3550. Although this started a while ago I have been ill for the past couple of years culminating in a stroke 7 weeks ago. Therefore I have the ability to make phone calls now as I can’t drive or be left alone for 3 months so I have the time to catch up. I was told by the WONDERFUL customer service agent the exceptions needed in order not to have a service charge at all. One criteria was for me to have a direct deposit of $500 or over. I do have another checking account that has a monthly direct deposit amount of well over $500. It comes from Social Security Disability (SSDI). I called SSDI and was told I cannot split my disability payments. This was my only recourse. I was mortified to hear that Chase has no programs for people with disabilities. $12 may not seem a lot to you but will cover food supplies I need. I have permanent disability due to the nature of my illness. I am appalled that a bank of your magnitude and integrity does not care or help out the disabled. I would greatly appreciate if Chase could waive my service charge completely.Thank you for your consideration,Christine M ScarniciP.S. On an unrelated matter, the customer service agent who helped me with this was KNOWLEDGEABLE (you don’t find that often these days), friendly, precise and did what she could for me in a timely manner. Maddening app, almost good but no

Update3: the app was good for a couple of years, but now they are mandatory forcing an update to IOS15. Why? Because they say so. So now I will no longer be able to use the app I guess until I buy a new phone. Apple are a bunch of greedy tools who break older phones with each new iOS, adding useless new features that eat your battery in an hour. They were caught doing it and suffered no consequences. Now Chase is getting in on the action…. Newer software is almost always less secure that older, more tested software, but don’t tell anyone or the iOS programmers will be out of a job.Update2: the app now works again, but mobile deposits is still a broken mess. Regularly denys deposit because picture is not clear enough when everything in the pic is clearly legible. Used to be a great app but now gets all kinds of updates without fixing basic functionality... Update: the app now crashes 100% of the time when trying to deposit a check. They had previously gotten the check deposit working reasonably well after the initial SNAFU. Original review: If you are trying to deposit a check, forget it. This app loves to take you all the way through the process and then say that there is a problem. No details what, just try again.. Never mind that you now have an endorsed check in your hands! Here's a thought, get your program working properly or put a human at the other end to take 2 seconds to review the image! Also, the alerts are a total mess: give me one click view of all my alerts and the account that they go to, not button click hide and seek for each account. Trained monkeys could have done a better implementation.

I received a check from your bank and they put a hold on it . So I still needed to use some of it so I called Chase and the teller or representative of Chase , I asked him if they gave out Cash advances he said yes. I asked would I be able to get one because I have a check that is pending and I get it tomorrow, he said let me check and the he said yes go to any merchant bank and they will help you. I said ok I have to go inside or to the ATM he said you can go inside or to the ATM. Now I have a condition which I get bad migraines fast and high anxiety so I asked before I left. When I got to the bank and pulled out my card just to sign in the teller asked how can I help you. I said yes I would like to get a cash advance. He said ok with this card. I said no I was just pulling it out to start the transaction. He says then oh we can’t give you one because you have only a debit card. So now he is away from the window and announcing it loud what I am doing at the bank. So I was starting to feel crazy and said I just called and the gentleman from the bank said I could come over to the bank and get a cash advance never said anything about a card. He said do you have another bank card. I said if I did it would be to another bank not here. But I don’t. So he says well then I can’t help you. I said I just called the bank and he told me I can get one or I would have not come over here if I didn’t have to. The storm was here and it was raining off and on and I wanted to be home away. So now I go to the bank for nothing in the storm have to go home with a migraine and my anxiety racing so I hurried to my Dad’s SUV because I don’t have a car because of my condition. So it was all bad.
