I am writing this review to express my extreme frustration with Ambit Energy. My experience over the past year has been nothing short of devastating, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others.First and foremost, I was shocked to find out that my remaining balance was sent to a debt collections agency without any proper notification. This lack of communication is unacceptable and has caused me unnecessary stress and financial strain.When I first signed up with Ambit, I trusted their agents to help me find the best plan for my 500-square-foot apartment. Instead, I was placed on the most expensive plan available, leading to monthly bills exceeding $200 on multiple occasions. This situation created a significant obstacle for me as I struggled to keep up with my electricity payments. The stress of being constantly behind on this one bill has taken a toll on my life. There were several instances where I came home to no electricity, which was both frustrating and disheartening.Looking back, I realize that I should have never left my previous provider, Gexa. Their compassion towards customers is something I deeply miss. I have since returned to Gexa, where I feel valued and supported.In conclusion, my experience with Ambit Energy has been overwhelmingly negative. Their overpriced plans and lack of customer care have made my life much more difficult than it needed to be. I urge anyone considering their services to think twice and look for a provider that genuinely prioritizes their customers.

If I could give No star that’s what I would do. This company is scamming us all and they’re app is horrible as well. They bait you in with telling you that you are getting a good offer but talk to you with a bunch of nonsense with numbers and letters. As if you actually know a lot about BTUs. The discount rate that you think you’re getting is actually going towards paying Oncor. They don’t tell you that upfront you just find out once you receive your bill. Ohhhhhhh yeah another thing don’t try to get on any kind of payment arrangement because you’ll just be signing your life over to them as well. Because I live in Texas and the heat index is so high I feel like they truly taking advantage of that fact and know that we have to survive and pay these extremely high bills. Lord I know that You say that vengeances Is Yours and that You will take care of those who wrong us. I still have to find a better company to go through then this.

App crashes constantly. Doesn’t show correct information. Had my electric turned off because the app showed I was current. But when in reality there was a disconnect date and past due balance that wasn’t showing on the app. Customer service wouldn’t take responsibility for its companies short comings and made it out to be my fault cause I should have checked brother the app and the website. Customer service wouldn’t take responsibility rather scam you than help you or inform you of correct information. Might I add I’ve been with this company for over 10 years and will be switching energy companies immediately.

Every time you open the app it just either immediately crashes or goes black and can’t even make payments on this app. Guess they bother to charge you outrageously for energy but don’t even want you to pay the money to update their app to make payments. Then when I have to wait 20min to talk to customer service to resolve the problem they’re incredibly rude or barely speak English and sent me to the wrong department.Overall - 1 star doesn’t seem low enough.
