Members can now pay eligible in-network copays right in the Surest app. See when claims are ready for payment, filter by status, and view payment progress in real time. Claims are grouped by family member and date, and members can pay up to 10 claims in one transaction. Note: this applies to 2026 claims and onward.

This update fixes an issue that was causing some members to experience a crash when searching for care.

This update brings two big improvements: Apple Wallet support for ID Cards: Add and manage ID cards in the the Apple Wallet interface for convenient access. More attributes for provider location search: Find care faster with new labels and filters that sort location results by type (clinic, hospital, imaging center... and more).

Members can now save a complete care encounter, including service, location, and practitioner, for better tracking and flexibility. Plus, targeted virtual care options are now surfaced alongside saved care, making it easier to discover digital care and save on costs.

We fixed an issue where push notification links didn’t always take users to the right place. Now, tapping a notification opens the correct page, and links launch in your browser as expected.

With this release, members can now save virtual providers they want to revisit in the future, making it easier to access care when needed. We also fixed an issue where the app was not working for some users who had pending member tasks.

We’ve upgraded the search experience! When searching for a practitioner by name, members can now see procedures that may be available at the locations where a practitioner works, alongside services like office visits and preventive care that were already shown. Additionally, members can now filter location search results by 'health care company', making it easier to find care from organizations they recognize and prefer. Search now to see the updates!

With this release, we are updating the styling and usability of our claims experience. Members will see more prominent filters when selecting claims to review, as well as an enhanced claim summary and details view. The goal is to make it easier for members to find, understand, and act on their claims information.

We made some small improvements to page design and squashed some bugs so the Surest app stays squeaky clean. Included are small changes to navigation through claims pages. And improvements that ensure the Surest app is accessible to members with differing needs.

With this release, we are introducing a major update to members' ability to save providers and services. Soon, members will be able to save any medical encounter—urgent care, imaging, specialists, surgeries—directly in the Surest app. We've also redesigned how saved care encounters are sorted for easy access. Additionally, we have updated the 'contact info' page for providers and locations using real-time Google Places data to populate associated websites and hours of operation.

New with this update, members who have OptumRx as a pharmacy benefit manager will see preferred formulary alternatives when searching for certain drugs. This makes comparing copays for similar drugs easier than ever. Additionally, for members who are managing prior authorizations, we’ve added plan period filters to help you keep organized. Plus, decision and appeals letters will now be available for download directly within the app when viewing prior authorizations.

We made the registration process easier by adding a few guiding questions before sending members to the HealthSafe ID page. Now, you’ll know how to find out if you already have an HSID—even if you haven’t used Surest before. We also added accessibility enhancements and fixed a few bugs to keep everything running smoothly.

We've made it easier for members to track and manage their Prior Authorization (PA) requests. Now, you can view a complete list of your PA submissions with their status, access the documentation you've submitted, and check the determinations. You'll find this feature in the "Your Plan" section of the app. We also fixed some bugs.

With this release, we are adding a new Care Summary page. This detailed view enables members to connect the "who, what, and where" for any given healthcare encounter. Additionally, we are including a Care Rating indicator in our search. This rating is based on an evaluation of historic provider effectiveness and efficiency, providing a straightforward way for members to navigate healthcare choices and potentially find savings. Finally, we are also adding tab-style navigation to long pages.

With this release, Surest is upgrading the way that user preferences are managed in the app. Through our integration with UnitedHealth Care’s Enterprise Preference Management Platform, Surest members will have more control than ever over paperless communications, contact information, personal identifiers, and more. These changes will be visible in the ACCOUNT section of the app under ‘Personal Info’ and ‘Communications’. Additionally, we fixed a few bugs to improve the member experience.

With this release Surest is completing the migration to United Healthcare’s HealthSafe ID for logins and registrations. Legacy logins will no longer be available, and members will be prompted to use or create an HSID account to gain access to the Surest App. In addition, we have fixed several bugs and made a few accessibility updates to improve the app.
