Nationwide VetHelpline‪®‬ 4+

I’ve been using Nationwide pet insurance since my cats were kittens and they were VPI. I have one cat who has been sick since she was a few months old and it’s been a blessing having pet insurance. Because she was diagnosed after we already had insurance, they’ve covered all of her medical needs since then: IBD, hyper (now hypo) thyroidism, and just last week she was diagnosed with possible lymphoma.

Nationwide has been there for us the entire time and this 24-7 televet app is just amazing. It’s included (common extra charge) as part of her insurance plan and they’re so kind and helpful. A few years ago, we had an issue where one of that cats may have accidentally ingested part of an advil liquigel and the vet helpline called poison control for me so that when we went to the ER, it saved me an extra charge and the ED. ER vet was able to talk to Vethelpine right away and give her the proper dose of antidote.

This new app is great because now the vet can see the animal, too. That makes it easier for them to diagnose.

I’m beyond grateful for the excellent customer and pet care my family receives from Nationwide. I tell everyone that they’re the best pet insurance company out there. This app is an asset to an already amazing service.

I was concerned about my Maine coon cat who had been very very lethargic yesterday and was vomiting. He has long hair and I thought that it might be due to hairballs in his system,so I called and talked to the vet on Online. It was a great experience because Using the video call, i was able to show the vet the cat and his behavior. We talked for about 10 to 15 minutes about the cat and she watched him carefully. She did give me several recommendations which I will follow, and had them sent through the Internet. It was a great experience, and I like to thank Nationwide for providing the service .

My dog recently had a cystotomy and I’ve had concerns post surgery twice once in the middle of the night and once on the weekend. It has been so reassuring to be able to speak to a veterinarian or vet tech to review the issues and saved me a $200 minimum just to walk into a pet emergency room. They were able to give me feedback and instructions until I was able to follow up with my vet. This is great for pet parents and also as a business great for Nationwide as a way to keep cost down.
