Description

The ProdataKey app replaces your access card or key fob for employees. It gives administrators complete mobile management over their PDK access control system. And PDK integrators can use the app to configure customer systems.

With Bluetooth credentials stored in the ProdataKey app, you can use your phone to unlock doors–either as you approach or by holding your phone near a reader on the door. With additional remote access credentials, you can see the states of doors at a location and unlock a door from anywhere by simply pressing on an icon.

System administrators can enable the Manage features of the app to grant access permissions, set door schedules, view reports, and receive instant alerts regarding their PDK system. No need to sit behind a computer to manage your access control system.

Integrators and technicians can use the ProdataKey app to install, configure, and troubleshoot a PDK system for their customers and their locations.

Update Corrupted Credentials

Recent upgrade on the PDK Touch app appears to have corrupted mobile app credentials. All of our users now getting messages about not having access / credentials at our location, and can not control the doors.

Waiting for Apple to post the next update that PDK says has been released and should fix the problem.

In general, the basic functionality of being able to control doors remotely has worked for us, which is our main need from the app. Trying to get 'double tap' to work on the app is tricky on the timing. 2x swipe/tap is much easier at the ready with RFID devices.

Enhancement request: Would really expect and appreciate if the app could work in landscape mode vs only portrait. Trying to use the app on and iPad which I use 99% of the time in landscape mode, results in trying to read the app sideways. :-/ Doesn't seem like having the app rotate, should be a huge programming task.

Works okay but UX is annoying

I really want to like this app, but there are a couple things keeping me from that. The smaller thing is that in order to open any of the doors you have to press and hold the button you want instead of tapping, and sometimes holding it just doesn’t work. The second (and substantially more annoying) thing is that there is a beep that takes over your phones audio and pauses whatever music/podcast/video you might have been listening to and it becomes hard to restart. It wouldn’t bother me if there was a setting to disable the audio, but until that this app is wildly frustrating to use. I bought a separate parking sticker to open my garage gate just to avoid using this app and losing audio. Please add this tiny simple feature.

Please make this available on an Apple Watch

I absolutely hate that now I have to bring my phone to the gym just to get through the door. I run outside when it’s warm and would usually go to the gym after, and I don’t normally bring my phone to these runs, but now I have to and my pockets in my leggings aren’t the most reliable. Haven’t been in the gym for a few weeks now.
