We knew we loved it when: We saw how thoughtful and engaged the AllTrails’ community is. Continually updated crowdsourced notes, which are curated by the AllTrails team, alerted us to trail flooding after a recent rain and suggested waiting for an overcast day to embark on a hike with no tree cover. (We’re glad we listened!) They also helped us discover a lovely stretch of wildflowers in full bloom.
Our favorite discovery: Seeing our elevation gain at a glance with Apple Watch. (We were only at mile 3, but it felt more like mile 10!) The stat reminded us to slow our pace and drink more than usual to stay hydrated.
Our favorite moment: The time we used the satellite map to find an out-of-the-way (but gorgeous!) waterfall. Being able to see the satellite image of the river that fed the waterfall—and exactly where we were along its path—led us right to the spot.
