Been 6 months since last rating and still no better than before despite developer poor response. Even though a feature may be there If it doesn’t work properly then it’s not working. A user is still not able to locate your vehicle at any point in time I.e. no live current location. Past trips still doesn’t show start and end I.e. shows two points but you can’t see which point is the start and which point is the end part of the trip. Accuracy is poor, very often it shows a start or end point several roads away from where your trip was. Policy doc section is there but does not work at all with no ability to see policy docs. There’s no website to login and manage your policy so this app is not very comprehensive. I gave feedback via email before with no response.

I have been highly dissatisfied with my experience with Activate by Absa. Since October 2024, their app has been incredibly buggy, and the rewards system has stopped functioning entirely. Despite multiple attempts to reach out for support, I’ve been met with high call volumes and no response.Around November, when my bank required verification of my comprehensive insurance, I tried calling Activate by Absa for days with no success. I resorted to emailing them and, after several days, received a response with incorrect information regarding my policy’s inception date.To make matters worse, my repeated attempts to cancel my policy were met with silence. I can only imagine the nightmare I would face if I were involved in an accident or needed to make a claim under these circumstances.The lack of communication and inability to provide accurate and timely service has been incredibly frustrating. I cannot recommend this company to anyone who values responsive and reliable service.

This app is just useless if we are being honest, if you are going to attract customers to an insurance by stating driving rewards as a benefit yet the app that’s there to calculate the trip scores does not work and you don’t even give the rewards even when you claim to see that the client has been driving well then you’re false advertising, you call, you get the same response each time” sorry, you’re not the only one having this problem with the app, we are still working on it”Useless, useless, useless- would give it zero stars if it was possible

I had installed the telematic device and the app approx month ago. Until this moment no single trip is recorded. Phoned the Activate by ABSA call center- they said the IT department will fix it in 48 hours. Unfortunately nothing was fixed and I phoned again- now they cannot tell me when it is going to be fixed and that IT department is investigating. Yet in my insurance policy is stated that I need to have a working telematic device within 14 days after my policy is active otherwise it will be invalid.. Not sure what to do..should probably look of another insurance..
