Add Search Function

The Group Booking functionality is really useless if I cannot search for comtacts.
Currently we have to browse our entire contact list alphabetically to select contacts. Which I don't even bother. I just give individual codes because that's easier (although also quite annoying).
Please add a search function to make this process easier.

A masterclass in inefficiency, frustration, and poor design

Whoever greenlit this app needs to spend a week actually using it. Explain to me in the year 2025, why simply opening this gate management app force-stops my background music ?? Why does it behave like it’s the only thing allowed to function on my phone? This is basic app hygiene. Fail.

Now let’s talk about the real disaster: connectivity. My area is a network black hole. The app takes an absurd amount of time to open the gate, which, in a country plagued by hijackings, is not just an inconvenience, it’s a full-blown security hazard. I’m forced to disable mobile data just to hope the app switches to Bluetooth in time. So, in the middle of a potential crisis, I’m playing connectivity roulette? Who designed this? Have they ever been to South Africa?

Then there’s the laughable visitor system. You go through the effort of inputting your guest’s details, only for the visitor to still get stopped, questioned, and scanned in manually like it’s 1999. What exactly was the point of capturing their details in advance? Ceremony? Optics? Certainly not efficiency.

This app is a case study in how to overengineer a simple task while completely ignoring the real-world use case. A remote would open the gate faster, more reliably, and without killing your music, your time, or your safety. This is digital theatre masquerading as innovation and it’s failing. Spectacularly.

Frustratingly slow and buggy

This app STILL has extremely frustrating bugs. I’ve requested before that the open and close functions in the app remain stationary but no they keep jostling for top and bottom position. Sometimes you try and open the exit and as you want to tap it it jumps to a different position with the open button and then you’re opening the wrong gate! Just keep them in one position simple! Also half the time you tap the button and it sits saying “opening, opening, opening” for ages and ages and doesn’t open a thing. You have to cancel and retry several times to get the d^#n date to open. This is sitting right next to the screen itself. This is a danger as you’re a sitting duck waiting to be hijacked whilst the app refuses to open the gate!
