I am a regular user of the app and will likely never use anything else. Overall I am happy with the new look and feel and I like the fact that you can add new widgets to your dashboard. That is a good feature and I hope new widgets will be added on a regular basis for us to choose from. That being said, I believe that there are some things that need to be looked into and fixed. These are some of my observations:After clicking through the nudges, they eventually disappear (despite there being more to view) and report “Whoops we are have trouble loading this widget”You can no longer add manual accounts nor can you edit the existing manual accounts. I hope this is an oversight and not the intended direction, as I actually make use of this feature.It would be nice if you could filter transactions by category or spending groupYou can’t “Select All” transactions and mark them all as seen anymoreIt seems as though a smoothing filter has been applied to graphs for data more than 3 months ago. It was better with the raw data.The scaling of graphs is a bit off as the y-axis (money) shows you from R0 upwards making changes in a month almost unnoticeableThe time scaling filter is also a bit off where the “1 year” filter shows me data starting from Jan 2022 instead of exactly a year ago from todayYou can’t swipe away the “Quick filters” pop-up when you want it to disappear. You have to click away from it.I see you can add tags to transactions but how can you filter or group by these tags? That is still not clear to me.Some exit buttons just don’t work no matter how many times you click them
Best budgeting app

Hands down the best budgeting app out there. I’ve tried so many different ones but this one stands out from the rest. The initial setup is a pain because you need to go through all your previous transactions and make sure to categorise them properly as well as create any new categories. However, this is goes hand in hand with the fundamentals of budgeting so it is part of the process. Also this effort is a one time effort - I see it as an investment, which one really reaps the rewards from afterwards. The app has way too many positives to mention in this review, however one of my favourite features is the way that the app is designed for you to audit all the transactions from your account. This means you are 100% aware of all the money coming in and out of your accounts, something which is a fundamental requirement for having a good financial health. Furthermore, the auto categorisation system works really really well, I have had so many issues with my Discovery bank financial analyser auto categorisation - and it is so frustrating. Good auto categorisation is so important since it reduces the friction to keep the budgeting and finances in check - making it more sustainable and a pleasure to use.Also, should the app make an incorrect categorisation, due to the way the app is designed for you to audit all your transactions, one can very easily correct it straight away, reducing the friction to have quality financial data - which is required for a quality financial health. There’s so much more I could speak about, but I cannot make this too long. Vault22 team, thank you for the work you do and bringing this quality app to improve the lives of others ❤️

22Seven Budget App

This is an excellent budget app, in fact the best one I have used so far. Really great for setting up, tracking and controlling your monthly budget. User friendly and intuitive and gets better all the time with regular updates a lot of which are taken from listening to the customer feedback and suggestions. The excellent thing is that all the accounts are linked to your online bank and savings/investments accounts which really makes it simple to update. Also categorised into pre-loaded or your own custom categories which the app picks up when ever you do an online download so really useful. Minimal manual processes. To top it off, the team is always available and ready to help and they really go out of their way to provide efficient and friendly service. Thanks TheSvens team to all of you.

The BEST app EVER

I have been using this app since February 2019. It has changed my finances for ever. I was able to pay off serious debts by December 2021. This was only possible due to the 22Seven app. It is the first app I open every single day and which I use daily to manage my budget.New users must allow 2 to 3 for the app to “learn” your spending patterns and allocate it to various categories.I am a 22Seven disciple and I recommend it to all my friends. You will never be sad about using it - especially if you want to keep to a budget.The support staff are super helpful and I still cannot believe it is free. 🤫I have 2 recommendations for the dev team:1. Please allow a balance from the previous month’s budget to be carried over - same as YNAB. This can be separate to all other figures so that one can see how you are doing over a number of months in terms of budgeting.2. Please show a total for the budgeted amount, eg “R10,000 left of R11,000” budget, vs the current display which only says what is left of the budget. The budget changes from time to time, and then one must compare it to the budgeted income, which requires one to do ao on a calculator.Thanks for the awesome app.
