After spending a year with The Hartford through AARP, I can honestly say it was the worst insurance experience I’ve ever had. Every call to the 800 number meant sitting on hold for 30 minutes. Only to reach a different representative each time who never seem to know my case their app was a nightmare while it told me what a great driver I was, and even though showed awards, I supposedly owned they still raise my rate because my wife didn’t show up on the app, even though she was already included twice I was told they would open an IT ticket and call me back that call never came. Switching to Allstate Insurance has been a complete opposite experience from the very first phone call. I was impressed when I called the office. I actually get a real person who is helpful and professional. If the representative is not available she’s always calls me back prompt a special thank you to THUY who personally walked us through every step she set up the app for us made sure we had all the coverage we needed and answered every question with patience and professionalism she turned what had been a frustrating process with my previous insurance into a smooth and stress-free experience the service has been outstanding. The communication clear and the rates are fair better than what I was paying before. I couldn’t be happier with Allstate. They’ve restored my faith in what Customer service should look like Allstate has my vote hands-down shame on AARP for recommending Hartford. I believe they should be recommending Allstate.

Hurricane damage

We live just south of Augusta and the wind blew over a 30”water oak that fell from the roots coming out of the ground. Luckily a 20” water oak only inches behind our fence kept the tree from falling but caused large branches to fall through our above ground pool and wooden deck,but if the smaller tree had not been there to support the larger tree from falling, my family would have been dead. Dad,mom and 19 year old daughter we all got in our master bedroom and the next morning realized the 30” oak tree would have fallen directly on top of our roof and the tree would have landed on top of the bed we were in. No doubt a miracle. We heard the branches snapping and immediately moved to the front of the house were no trees were an imminent threat. I called Allstate the next day after realizing the larger tree was going to over pressurize the smaller tree that it was leaning against and destroy the bedroom. The next morning Allstate sent a contractor with crane and bucket truck and dump truck removed the two trees and eliminated the real and present danger. A one day response I considered a miracle also with so many other houses that were not as lucky as us. They came out took pictures and we had a final claim completed in less than a month.I wish the other contractors could work that fast but understand the demand for repairs covered numerous states and not many homes were as lucky as ours. I have been an Allstate customer for over approximately 30 years and have never had a problem with filing a claim or having the price go up due to a claim being filed. Thank you Allstate, a very satisfied customer.

Circumspectly, Mr. Brian & proprietor, Anthony Taylor the only authority that we we is when we open up the Bible! Secondly, Proverbs states that a Farmer can make the decision to plant the seeds, however he does not have the authority to create the conditions for his crops to grow! Circumspectly, the Farmer must wait on The Almighty Yawah to allow photosynthesis to occur! Cheerfully, Mr. Brian has an intrinsic work ethic couple with a super pulchritudinous spirit to match. Thirdly, I appreciate Mr. Brian ,because he understand that sometimes you can ask God for the rain, but you can’t forget about the mud but after the mud dries up the sun comes out!! Thank you, Mr. Brian for being the sun in my life! Fourthly, Sir. 🙏for your thoughts, feelings & behaviors towards the lost of my Aunt Laura that was called to heaven for her final transformation! Sir, thank you for being a caterpillar that has now transformed into a butterfly With your words of inspiration while processing the lost my Aunt! Sir, thank you for informing me that you can cut down all the flowers but you stop spring from coming! You are the morning star of the Allstate Family! Please continue to live in the moment Sir, because I’ve never seen a U-Haul behind the hearse!! Your moral compass as a young man to adapt, overcome & improvise with mercy & Grace truly, unique! Good company but

Allstate has always treated me fairly and timely. I have been a customer for over 40 years. That said, the app is pitiful. Sometimes you can’t see the writing because it seems to be superimposed on other writing. My biggest complaint is the Drivewise program which you can only use now thru your phone. I just upgraded my iPhone only to realize that it wasn’t the phone , but the Drivewise in Allstate app using 60-70% of the phone battery. Apple says there is nothing that they can do about this that it is Allstate using location in background constantly. I obviously want to get the good driving bonus but I also need my phone to have battery life. Today alone it used 75% of my battery. Now I have to turn it off and on. I think this is very inconvenient. Why can’t the app let you use it when your phone connects to your car. That way you don’t have to sacrifice battery for bonus. I don’t think I will remember to do this everytime I get in the car. It was better when the little device was in the car. Also the app is very difficult to navigate and doesn’t do a lot of what it should. I can’t check what my car insurance payment will be next month as it is a new year and the price will most certainly go up. I hope someone monitors the conversation that happen in reviews and actually do something to fix it but I won’t hold my breath. Allstate is too expensive not to have better service and it may be time to switch. Update: now the battery issue is fixed with location on always but doesn’t record trips
