Disappointed in the inability to resize photos to create a custom watch face, my previous $30 Walmart watch allow me to resize photos and place the time in either corner or the top or bottom but for some reason Apple doesn’t give you any resizing abilities for the photos so I can’t create a custom face, when I import a photo it either cuts off the head of the person or chopped off part of the photo or does not allow you to center the photo where it belongs, I even tried taking a screen snapshot on my phone to create a larger border but it just places a black box on the top of the photo and when I trim it down to a regular 5:4 photo size it’s back to the same problem again. Just want the same ability and features that we already have with iOS, when you’re creating a custom wallpaper you can resize photos so that all the text fits in place, I don’t need the phone deciding what needs to be visible or not in a photo, control that resizing. Probably I’ll have to buy a custom app just to do simple photo resizing for a face.

All in all, I like the Apple Watch but a few updates ago Apple decided to set a default timer of 15 minutes on the watch. This is new behavior as prior to this, when you went to the timer you simply selected the timer you wanted and you were good to go. Now however, Apple has decided that whenever you launch the timer they will set a default timer of 15 minutes for you. How do they know I want a 15 minute timer? Their support site says they chose 15 minutes as it is a good compromise between various activities like working out or other things. I’ve never used my timer during workouts. I use it when I’m grilling, or other things none of which ever requires a 15 minute timer. So now, every time I use the timer, I have to cancel the default 15 minute timer and set it to what I actually want. Here’s an idea for you Apple, don’t assume anything for your customers, let us decide what timer we want. Either get rid of the default timer (which never used to be a thing) or if you insist on being our big brother and make decisions for us, then let us set our own default timer setting in settings. I frankly don’t want a default timer set every time I assume the app, I simply want to quickly and easily set my own timer. Assuming you know what is best for everyone and make decisions for your customers is completely arrogant. Worthless.

I love Shortcuts, I have been using it since it was Workflow. I liked Workflow better because you really learned to program with it from the ground up. Apple has really dumbed down Shortcuts in these latest versions for the masses in respect to really programming shortcuts from the ground up. However, I’m deeply disappointed, I bought an Apple Watch with the sole excitement of using Shortcuts on my Apple Watch and I have never been able to use Shortcuts on the actual Watch, “THEY WILL NOT SHOW UP ON THE WATCH” or under the actual Watch App list on the iPhone. This a known issue what gives? Each update, I’m hopeful this issue will be resolved and nope the Shortcuts Apps will not show up as an option to select in the Watch App and the Apple Watch keeps saying,No shortcuts you can add them in the Shortcuts App on your iphone, which are listed and designated for the Apple Watch, but don’t show up. There is a disconnect between the iPhone Shortcut App and the Watch App not letting the Shortcut App appear as a selection to be on the watch and the actual Apple Watch Shortcuts App. Just works- nah, It just doesn’t, please fix it Apple.And to add, the Haptic Touch is too soft, please the increase the option to make it stronger, especially for alarms and waking up.

I like my Apple Watch okay, but I must say that I am seriously underwhelmed by the watch faces. Sure seems to me that given the display capabilities of the Series 10 watch that something way better could be possible. Also, no blood oxygen capability?!? I don’t get that at all. When I bought the watch it never occurred to me that it couldn’t count steps. One must download an additional app and go through convoluted steps to get steps to show on a watch face that has “complications”. Still, you have to tap the screen to go to another screen that has the actual step count. After you do that the steps get updated on the watch face. Absolutely ridiculous. Lastly, I notice what appears to be a complete lack of response on Apple’s part to any of the reviews here, and I have read a lot of them. Looks to me like there are waaay more dissatisfied reviewers than those that give the watch and/or app any positive comments. Considering going back to my Fitbit, as I feel I made an expensive mistake by buying this thing. I’m pretty much over it. Not all it’s cracked up to be.
