I recently got a new phone and transferred all of my apps, settings, and so on from my old device to my new one. However, my MFA Auth did not transfer for OneAuth. This is concerning, and contradicts the expectations when doing such a transfer. For what it’s worth, Google, Microsoft, and even Steam Authenticators all worked with the transfer. Furthermore, the ability to reset the MFA from our account holder was removed and apparently transferred to a new service/system that we would have to purchase to proceed. What? Upselling my company to use a system we previously had access to, that prevents us from doing our job? Again, what?Ultimately, support was able to help, but only after an hour of phone support and wrangling multiple email addresses into the thread. Do better please.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how frustrating this experience must have been. For security reasons, OneAuth sessions cannot be transferred directly between devices, as the device-specific security tokens are tied to the original device. When switching phones, we recommend setting up OneAuth on your new device before removing the old one, using the authentication request sent to your old device. If the old device is no longer available, you can use the available account recovery options to restore OneAuth access and configure your new device as the primary device.
