My husband and I always enjoyed our morning paper with our coffee. When he went on dialysis five years ago, we switched to the online edition. He has since passed, but I continue to enjoy The Record and even print out the puzzles to keep my mind active. So, thank you for the many years of keeping me well informed and entertained.
Countless hidden advertisements even with a paid subscription? No Bueno.

It’s not enough that I have to see advertisements intermixed with content on the free sites, it’s even worse when I pay a monthly subscription and am forced to navigate advertisements interspersed with actual content. At least the advertisements are easier to notice in the printed publications. On this poor excuse for a news app, they’re everywhere and are positioned to trick you into clicking them and forfeiting information you’d otherwise not give. C’mon guys, give us a break already! You take enough from us in the print and unpaid content; how about refraining from the money-grab here?
It isn’t worth the space it takes

Before the Record was sold to Gannett, it was a convenient way to catch local news. You could read 100 articles a month. Now you can’t read most because they are for subscribers only, and you can read ten truncated stories. After that, you can see headlines and less than a paragraph usually designed to tell you nothing. The content is barely local anymore, since the axing of most of the local staff. You will do better with any of the news streaming apps, even if all of them are biased and out of New Jersey. Deleting this off my phone after decades of being a loyal subscriber. The Record turned its back on NJ.
Always a pleasure

I’ve been reading this newspaper for over 40 years. I always got the paper delivered but a few years ago I just thought it was a lot easier to get the app. App is easy to use and I don’t have to go down the driveway every morning to get the paper. Always interesting articles. Thank you.
