I know its been a while since the newspaper became online only, but I still miss the physical paper.

TL;DR: DO NOT USE THIS APP UNLESS YOU WANT LIMITED STORIES AND TO BE FORCED TO ALLOW YOUR DATA TO BE SOLDNow the details…First, they beg you to subscribe by grossly limiting free stories. Once you subscribe, you suddenly realize the Star-Gazette app does not contain all of the stories in the daily newspaper, only SELECT EDITED digital stories. You don’t even get the full stories!!If that wasn’t bad enough, the app is CHOCK FULL OF SHADY ADS after you subscribe. It reminds me of those rotten webpages where you scroll through 45 just to read the text of the freaking article. And again, I repeat this is with a paid subscription!! And to to make matters worse, when you try to limit your data so it cannot be sold, you discover the app has disabled that function. So they literally FORCE YOU TO AGREE TO SELL YOUR DATA. This is a clear violation of the AppStore guidelines and I will be reporting it to Apple.

I read the star gazette every morning, including the four months I am on vacation in Florida for the winter. I am becoming disenchanted however because your news, supported by the USA today, has just become so far left. I am a middle of the road republican, but truly just in the middle. When I listen to Republicans talk about the far left media, the star gazette is a good example of it. Not a single middle of the road journalistic report. I am considering canceling my subscription.

I use this on my IPad. This app is harder to navigate. Windows to close. The numerous popup ads are a nuisance!
