Useless for design

The app does not work as intended. The 3D scan feature actually does work, but it is impossible to actually build a system and apply it to the floor plan you upload. In fact, the “default” system, despite clicking “remove all devices”, keeps showing up any time you leave the app and come back. The app does not save the items I choose, and when I do choose something (like a gateway and a switch) it remains “outside” my “rack”. You can choose all day, and it will list what you’ve chosen, but I assume because it doesn’t get added to the “rack” may be why you cannot add the system to your uploaded floor plan. The uploaded floor plan does not show up in the design center on the website either. It’s just a bad app. I hope the equipment works better than this!!

The Portal app is fine- it’s a genuinely pretty web view wrapper app. However, it could be so much more. The contents of the app are useful and more convenient than searching in Safari, but deeper integration would make this a 5 star app.Please consider some of these ideas to increase personalization and cross-tab integration:Store:- add bookmarking to product pages- add deeplink from store product pages to their specific Tech Specs tab page- add push notifications as an option for back-in-stock product alertsTech Specs:- Core problem: this tab is convenient, but it is too hard to *quickly* find the tech specs / doc pages for your exact model; adding some (re)discoverability features would 10x this tab- add bookmarking to tech spec / doc pages, specifically so we can find those 4+ click deep docs again- add folders for bookmarks, so we can group product docs by site/project/project planning/whatever- add deeplink from tech spec / doc pages to a Store product listing page (if available)- could even integrate with order history and prompt the user to bookmark docs for past and new purchasesThe Community tab is great (it clearly has more native integration than the other tab). I haven’t used the AI tab.Thank you for your work! I hope to see some of these features/concepts in the app in the future.

Awful replacement for the AR feature

One day I tried to use the AR feature of the excellent Unifi app and it sent me to the App Store instead. So I bit and downloaded this thing.From what I gather, this is essentially an online storefront for Ubiquiti, plus some AI trash nobody asked for. The only feature I actually wanted (AR) is now buried deep inside this otherwise useless app - perhaps as a honey pot to get people to install Portal?As a loyal customer of this company, I don’t appreciate having tools I use ripped out and repurposed for some dubious corporate strategy. So I deleted Portal as quickly as I installed it and I guess my Dream Machine Pro doesn’t have an AR feature anymore :(

Like the name says, this is a portal to functionality I could find elsewhere, but it is a bit easier to find here. Likely I could achieve some of the convenience by creating a group of web bookmarks on my Home Screen. One “feature” I find very annoying is the fact that the app always returns to the Home Screen when I navigate away and then return to it. Super annoying since I often look at a spec and communicate something to another person and then come back to see more of the spec which has now disappeared and I have to navigate back to where I was…over and over.
