1. Not able to message more than one health care provider at a time is ridiculous. The old system allowed for multiple recipients, which was useful as I only had to send a single message. It also meant that all providers who needed to be included in a discussion were included. 2. For most patients a physician’s “first name” is Dr not their actual first name. Looking up a physician where epic uses s provider’s actual first name in alphabetical order is not just frustrating, but useless for patients. The solution is so simple that it is embarrassing. 3. Making an error when trying to accessa tele-health video call, requires rebooting one’s phone. I gave up and asked the provider office to change to a phone call. 4. Looking up both current and historical lab results is time consuming and cumbersome. 5. Registration is ridiculous. Why must I answer all the same questions each time. Maybe accounting likes this system, but patients do not. 6. Even healthcare providers are dissatisfied with the system for providing standard of care.7. Because the system is not patient friendly, there has to be greater inefficiency for schedulers, health care providers and practice managers needing to help patients navigate BILH.
