Compass has proven time and time again to be a reliable, modern and efficient way for students to access their school resources, attendance, information and key dates for all major events and minor events. It is fast paced and I have never had an issue with logging in. The options such as ‘canteen’ , ‘learning tasks’ and ‘reports’ are truly revolutionary and so useful for schools to utilise. I am proud to be a user of compass and it will forever be my favourite app and most useful resource. Thank you for making this app happen and keeping it at an upmost standard! ⭐️

Hi Team, As I placed order this morning as a busy mum, it frustrated me. You have introduced a new shiny feature to select radio buttons and a new screen to add order , so many buttons like ‘Add item’. And manually selecting a payment method. Why ? Why? As a user let me tell you there was no need. My lunch order placement usually happens in 3 easy steps. It was such a easy process. Sometimes we are time critical to place a lunch order. Once I added items for the order, I was lost to find a view order or next button. The green snackbar showed No order. That made me add an item one more time, mistakenly. I had to scroll all the way down to see buttons to proceed and deleted the item from there. I am myself a Product Manager in a reputed Mobile App. Sorry friends, there was no need of this new feature. Please either bring it back. Or if this was an experiment and I am an test user. You got your feedback.

Compass should consider hiring proper qualified usability specialists (rather than a developer who took a 3-hour seminar on the subject?) — just assuming here!I’m writing this just after an update, so I have not seen latest changes. Until now the Home Screen has been an exercise in redundancy, irrelevance, and waste of space. Sorry to be so harsh but it seems like there’s no user testing. For example, about 40-50% of the Home Screen is taken up by my child’s name, a bunch of white space, then my child’s name again, a photo of my child (do we need that visual confirmation?) some cryptic administrative codes that are irrelevant to the user, with a lot more white space in between. There’s much more to lament, but one gets the idea.Consider providing the user an option to customise the screen (ie, collapse or expand sections) so that the relevant and useful content dominates the real estate. Or, hire a usability consultant and get some user testing. Unfortunately it’s a catch-22 for users because Compass’s customers are not the users (parents) — they are the school administrators, who have much more on their plates than to care about, or care to understand, usability.

Hoped that this newest update would have returned the Learning Tasks page back to how it was before, unfortunately I was disappointed.Ever since the new update to the learning tasks, the grades don’t pop up easily next to each assignment or next to each other. Not sure why this was introduced, it just makes it all the more inconvenient as well as introducing the trouble of individually entering into each assignment to check your grade. It was much better before when everything was just listed out nice and neatly, this update though might make the feature appear more cohesive with the app style, is annoying. Please return or give people the option to change it back to how it was.
