Used to enjoy this app because it provided an easy way to track my credit scores from the two main credit score agencies in Australia - Equifax and Experian. Since the last update, Experian is no longer there. Since there was notification provided as to why it’s now gone, and I couldn’t find information on their website about it being removed (or ever having existed, despite it being in the app for many years) I reached out to customer support to ask. I was provided with the generic “we’ve removed Wisr’s Experian credit scores to simplify your experience. You’ll now only see your Equifax credit score, making it easier to understand where you stand.” Sorry Wisr, I found it easier to understand where I stood with both credit scores available, and it wasn’t exactly a complicated experience having both scores there, did anyone actually ask for their experience to be simpler? Experian probably charged too much to access their data, or changed their policies or something, the least Wisr could do is be honest about why they’ve removed a feature that was there for a very long time.

They claim to use your credit score to provide offers. Even suggesting credit lines based on your scores. You think, great I’ll do it this way because I’ll save some money in the next few years. First they don’t respond, then they mark it on your credit report, then they decline and the excuse is they look at serviceability. The loan servicing is lower than the credit card repayments - how can one not be affordable , but the other is? They capture a lot of info and provide you with nothing. Clearscore is a much better alternative. Also if you link your accounts through their service when applying for finance through them, they access your accounts multiple times - unnecessary. Over a period of a week they caused me to have to change my password 3 times and flagged my account with my bank.

Generally this is a great idea for an app and helps save money/knock off loans without even knowing it.The only downside is the app! There are constant issues with it, including not showing all accounts from the bank accounts you’ve linked and me then needing to contact Wisr customer service to assist. Customer service response time is extremely slow! Weeks at times.
