I’ll be honest, I was always hesitant to use Wotif because I was afraid I would be scammed. I aways thought that getting discounts on accomodation would mean I the hotel I stay put would skimp on quality. How wrong I was!My opinion of Wotif totally changed after listening to the Hamish and Andy podcast. When I saw that Wotif sponsored their podcast, I thought I’d look into it when booking my next holiday. All I can say is wow! I absolutely regret not using you guys earlier! I saved so much money and still got to stay at quality accomodation. Just because you pay less, doesn’t mean you get less! Easy booking within just a few clicks. Great options for accomodation and just so convenient. I will be an avid Wotif user from now on!

I recently booked a holiday through Wotif at the Yamba Shores Holiday Park. What a mistake this was. I was unable to contact the park for the entire week before our arrival as the phone number was no longer active, but the day before our arrival date I received a email which showed a photo of the entry to the park which had a different business name. On arrival it was immediately evident the park was undergoing redevelopment as a retirement village. When the receptionist was asked about the facilities available such as wifi etc, the answer was that’s not available now”our website says this”. We didn’t book on their website, we used Wotif. Subsequently I have responded for requests for revues 3 times and have not received any response. $1500 plus later and no attempt to contact me with an explanation or any type of apology. The park themselves couldn’t care less due to transitioning to a different type of business, with no return holiday makers ever required to return. WOTIF are bombarding me with advertising but no APOLOGY. When advised we were leaving 3 days early, the response was “your leaving by your own choice and there are no refunds”Wotif are about as bad as it gets for customer service. I have stayed several times at this hotel, have recommended it to friends and will stay there in the future as I have had much better experiences other times. This stay was a little disappointing for the following reasons:- the noise from other guests, staff walking on internal walkways within the hotel. I understand that the building is a retro-fitted, historic building, but something needs to be done to mute this noise. Other rooms at this hotel have been quieter. There was no street noise, a great job has been done to manage that noise, they just need to better manage the internal noise.- housekeeping of my room was a little lacking. In the room I was provided with basic cutlery and crockery to have a hot drink and some food. Other than the bathroom, there was no where to wash these dishes, but also the room was not provided with a dish cloth or washing liquid with which to wash these dishes. So I left the dishes for housekeeping to clean or replace, but they did neither, leaving me with dirty dishes in my room. I find this unacceptable and disappointing.

Super clean and quite place, the feeling like home starts from the way you checkin were it’s simple as if you are entering your house, you got your room number via short SMS and just need to drive thru and park next to your room door, and the simplicity of checking out was just fun, one meter from the room to your car. The courtyard middill garden is just great, beautifully landscaped palace style that offers nice scape from the room back sliding door for an outdoor sitting. Jason communicates just professionally to check on any need we might have upon arrival. Thanks Jason. A place that brings the family together and leaves wonderful vacation memories.
