IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: myGov Access creates a one-time access code which is used to sign in to my.gov.au. It replaces the SMS code or secret question and answer you usually use.
myGov Access is ideal for people going overseas or where mobile reception is poor.
The app creates a 6 digit code. Use the 6 digit code to sign in to my.gov.au.
For your security, a new code is created every 30 seconds and is valid for maximum of 60 seconds.
Once you’ve set up myGov Access, you’ll need to enter your username, password and the code created from myGov Access to sign in to my.gov.au.
IMPORTANT: If you uninstall the app you may risk locking your myGov account. If you no longer want to use myGov Access you’ll need to sign in to my.gov.au, select Account Settings and turn off myGov Access from your Sign-in options. Re-installing myGov Access will not resolve your access issues.
You can only use myGov Access with one myGov account and one mobile device.

CONFUSING APP..this app does not work
confusing app..I was able to reset my password via email authentication and answering security questions..because this app does not accept my previous password(i fully remember my previous password)but then when i went to open the app with the new password...i still can not open it...it just continously giving me 6 digit num? i tap it..it says copied..ok.. then it will give me another 6 digit num..i don’t understand😱😱 and kept going on and on giving me 6digit number so where do i go??i tap everything in there..it won’t stop giving out another 6 digit???? i deleted the app and re-install it..then when i re-installed it..it won’t let me in..and says you have another device open..delete that first🤕😪causing me distress early
Simple but does what it says it does
It’s not a MyGov iPhone app, it’s just a 2-Factor Authenticator; it does that very well.
If you delete your app or your phone gets lost, just use the link on the myGov login page to send an sms to your registered phone number and then change the settings... just as it tells you on the login page.
And... for all those people that didn’t read the description and were disappointed by this app and gave it 1 star... maybe read the description before installing it and blindly changing your authentication mode, and then complaining that it did just what it was supposed to do!
Please leave one way to recover myGov account
I accidentally delete this app and now there is no way to sign in and I can’t even use my old email to create a new myGov account and need a new email address! Developers please do something about this and make at least one way to recover myGov account. You made this App for people to use and make their life easy not to hate it and put them in dead end road, What if someone doesn’t have his phone with him and they want to access their account ? What if they lose their phone ? Please think about these other circumstances which can happen to anyone and make a way to be able to log in to myGov!!! Thanks
