Doesn’t work if the network is down

This is meant to replace a physical license. If the phone network is down (like last week with Optus) or you’re out of range, the app won’t work. It is these edge cases when you’re having to prove your right to drive with a police officer who is in an officious mood that will mean people will still need to bring their physical cards with them, kind of making this app useless

The app does work without internet, please test by putting your phone in airplane mode and displaying your driver licence. It will also allow you to share your driver licence without internet connections.

Ui overhaul needed and offline support

I am convinced I could build this app in a couple of days if given the api. One of my biggest and easiest to fix gripes is the keypad login having no visual feedback making it really hard to know if you hit the right key and no face id? Secondly this app not working offline is a joke. Thirdly the bouncing looping animation of the government logo wont stop people replicating this and just look plain tacky. You need to add safe view boundaries too as the share license button is right under the multitasking bar on iPhones. NSW have had digital licenses for years now and you had another states homework to copy and somehow still got it all wrong. This app is slow, hard to use. This app feels and looks like a student project. Very disappointing.

Crashes every time I try to open it

The app worked at first. Would have been nice to be able to add my licence to my Apple wallet with the rest of my cards, but nope that’s not allowed. Would have also been nice to be able to login to the app using Face ID to make things easier given we can’t add the licence to our Apple wallets, but nope can’t do that either. Now for the last month or so I’ve been unable to even open the app. It either prompts for a pin, then crashes when you enter it, or crashes without asking for a pin. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Made no difference. Doesn’t work at all now.

Great idea but so poorly implemented. Guess I’m keeping my drivers licence in my wallet because this app is no replacement.
