Ratings and Reviews
This app has been very handy for me as I’m getting used to the local bus system.
However there are still some features I think should be available.
The journey planner REALLY needs the option of selecting how many transfers you want or are willing to do. I.e. if you don’t want to take two buses, letting you select that option. Sometimes I’d rather walk an extra 500 metres than have to transfer and wait for another bus to drive me a minor distance.
I also find when I set the journey planner it gives me complex trips when I know there are other -easier- trips I can take for the same journey.
I wish on the journey planner you could select specific routes only (again, because it seems to be giving me weird suggestions and I just want to see a select few bus numbers for this journey).
I don’t really find the indication of the bus journey, that accurate (along the route, so you know how early or late it will be).
Would be great if you could top up your Gocard on the app. And also if the time tables were easy to use within the app, instead of having to click through to the website and download an entire timetable, when I just want a screen shot of one or two particular stops.
Your recent update has removed a VITAL and IMPORTANT part of the app that not only made it safer to use but easier and less time consuming. The “use current location” feature when planning from a start or end point.
This is very important not only for lazy people like me as a time saver (it can take a while to type and find certain locations), but it is also in my opinion a safety feature that MUST be put back. For someone who is either completely lost and looking for a way home, or for others who generally know where they are but have no idea what the place is called and can’t find any helpful information (because let’s face it, not all streets have proper signage).
Please for the love of god put this feature back.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your response, a recent update to the app has resulted in iOS users requiring to set location services to ‘always’ to use certain features of the app - including the "My current location" feature.
Please be assured that the app is not tracking your location, it simply uses your location to show your nearby stops and services.
This issue has been resolved in the update that was released this week.
Update removing current location is bad
This app normally works perfectly fine for me since I nearly always have plenty of time to organise a plan with the ‘journey planner’, but a recent ish update has removed the ‘my currently location’ option, which is ridiculously annoying. Please bring it back as otherwise it’s become frustrating to manage journeys
Edit: just discovered that the ‘use my current location’ function now only works if you have the app location settings set to ‘Always’, when beforehand I had it set to ‘Whilst Using App’. This makes me pretty uncomfortable and it’s confusing as to why it only works when set to ‘Always’. Really hope this can be fixed soon.
Developer Response ,
Thank you for your feedback - a recent update to the app causes iOS users to enable location services to be set to ‘always’ to use the location services within the app. This issue has been resolved in version 2.1.1731.
