Don’t be hating.
Not sure why everyone in hating on the app so much. I’ve had a great experience, it shows my trips even when booked through different payment sources, personal and corporate travel and the interface even managed some splits and adjustments that have happened due to shifts in travel plans.
Updated within minutes sometimes of getting off the phone after adjusting my flights.
The Virgin Air app and website are ok, just a little clunky to navigate / use
The Virgin Air app and website struggle to log in at times with your correct linked and only email. It appears to prefer your frequent flyer number and password combination.
It’s hard to find where to add a new trip booked externally for you by work etc…
and additionally if you can work out how to add your trip in the full site or the app, they don’t seem to communicate with one another and won’t appear simultaneously till done on each seperate site individually. Finally if you don’t have the airline booking reference number, there is no option to proceed sadly.
It would be good if these things along with better customisation options were available :)
I received an email from Virgin inviting me to enter its middle seat lottery for a recent domestic flight. Of course I pressed enter. I was then direct to enter via the virgin app, which I have but you still have to log in. Once logged in, it said I had no eligible bookings and that I should blog in again, which I did. Then I had to manually enter the booking reference, even though I was logged in to my account, then I had to manually re-enter all my velocity membership and contact details. So what was the point of logging into the app was if I had to re-enter everything anyway? Virgin app, or the lottery entry process was extremely frustrating.
I thought apps were supposed to streamline engagement. This was like a weird video game that I didn’t know the rules to! Entering the Middle Seat Lottery was actually a worse experience than sitting in the middle seat!😂
