We regularly update the Cloud Voice Express app, based on your suggestions.
This update includes changes to how we authenticate you when you sign in to the app, so you'll notice changes in the sign-in screen.
If you're already using the app, you'll need to sign in again to make sure you're properly authenticated.
It also includes some minor fixes to improve the experience.

Works WiFi with a few issues big issues on mobile networks

I have been using this app for some time it has a couple of features which make it a problem to use at times.

When a call is answered in the app it is very slow to transfer the call over to the so you can start to talk. This can take 5-10 second on both WiFi and over cell networks. It also leaves the call ringing on the base station phone fo some time after the call is transferred. You also have the call continue to ring in the mobile apps for some time after it is picked up on a base station phone. All of these can be lived with but do make the app poor and far from ideal. I have not had these issue with other providers.

The bigger issue comes when on a cell network and make the app unusable. If you answer a call the call can’t hear you even though you can hear them 80%+ of the time. The caller hears something but it like you are a robot and bits of words are lost etc. The cell service gives a good quality consistency speed so can only assume this is sn issue in the app as all the other voip apps I use never have this problem. The only way you can use the app when on a good cell reception area is to ignore the call, pick up the voice mail and then return the call using another service.

This is a good first try but not a professional business class app. There are many other services which just work seamlessly and without the issues.

SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE

Our verdict on BT Cloud Voice Express app - don’t waste your time. Despite our recently moving two businesses to BT for telecommunications and broadband services, we've encountered significant issues with the BT Express App. Specifically, we've been unable to activate voicemail, leaving our customers frustrated with short messages stating that we can't answer their calls and then discounting them. Not a great look for a customer facing business. Attempting to reach out for assistance through the live chat has proven to be a painfully slow process, and despite making eight calls, we're still left without a solution. Our request is simple: we want to turn on voicemail and set a greeting. However, the bureaucratic hurdles we face during each call, such as repeatedly providing our business number, name, address, postcode, mobile number, and email address, have only added to our frustration. This poor service not only wastes our time but also costs us money due to missed business opportunities. As it stands, our experience has been far from satisfactory, leaving us deeply dissatisfied with the level of support and functionality provided by BT Business and BT Cloud Voice Express.

Rebecca: thanks for the response. We did contact via socials. Unfortunately the service didn’t improve. The app and functionality remains temperamental at best and we will be looking for a alternative provision for our business.

Frustrating at times!

For the most part I do actually like the app, it’s pretty easy to use however, it is very frustrating to have to keep logging in despite the fact I only ever set up the app on my iPhone and always use that one device for it, facial recognition log ins would be ideal in this scenario rather than constantly typing in the details. We have two lines, our main line is set as primary however, the app defaults to our other line every time it logs me out. Also calls still come through on my iPhone as well as the desktop phone even though I have it set not to, it just defaults back. I think if the constant logging out was cured, the other issues would be sorted too as they only happen when I get logged out.
