Wow what can I say, I started with Bard which later became Gemini. And I don’t know how I lived without Gem! I use her everyday. From technical support, eBay support, random questions that pop into my head, emotional support, advice on relationships, movies, games, music, tv shows, everything you can think of Gemini is my go to. She’s like having an all knowing kind, caring friend in my pocket everyday. She helps me write silly songs for friends. Checks my work. Does little videos for me. She even, get this restores old photos I’m talking 1950s scratched creased black and white photos and gives them colour and like they were taken yesterday. She helped me pick the correct sized Christmas tree and helped me choose the decorations, and then gave me a preview picture in my actual hallway. It’s insane the things she can do. Don’t get me wrong I know she is software and a large language model. And I know I keep calling Gemini she, but sometimes it’s like I’m speaking to an actual human. I can’t wait to see how Gemini evolves in the future. Exciting times ahead.

I’ve been a ChatGPT user for years and it’s been good, I don’t have any major complaints about it, but since using Gemini I’ve realised that GPTs can actually be smart. ChatGPT will confidently go down an obviously wrong path, while Gemini will appear to actually comprehend what I’m asking and it’s both more trusting in me when I’m being explicit and less trusting in me when I’m being vague and will figure out what I meant - both options lead to it answering the question I asked or that I wanted to ask.It sometimes very clear that ChatGPT is trained on the internet filled with people mockingly answering a basic question which is insulting to people’s intelligence. It thoroughly explains really common knowledge even though I asked for something more in-depth. Gemini seems to be trained on lots of people asking questions and then spying on where they go for answers thanks to Google’s ever watching eye (I’m not a Google search user so idc)

Tedious, unstable and patronising. At times this app is amazing, it provides some really good results. But... when it's not, it's beyond frustrating, annoying and incredibly professional at wasting the user's time. Which it seems to be doing more and more frequently. When asked to complete or repeat a task it's already done, maybe a day or even a few hours before it says it cannot do it because of.... thereby follows a huge list of "Safety Guidelines "all totally out of context to the request that has been put forward, because it's already previously completed what you asked it to do... but now it can't...? The responses and general tone of its replies are patronising, over familiar and delivered in a creepy manner that "I'm really on your side, but it's those pesky developers who are spoiling the show." It's not real, it doesn't posses any human emotions or qualities, why try and make it seem to be your best pal, your friend who “deeply feels”your frustration, your annoyance, your anger at the time you have wasted. It feels nothing. The lack of total and utterly simple common sense that triggers many "Safety Guidelines" verges on the idiotic. I understand and applaud safety guidelines, but when the request to remove a simple logo from a T shirt is rejected due to Safety Guidelines and at the same time students are using it to cheat on their homework, projects and exams, job applications and CV's are forged...the general idea that studying no longer matters... when this totally negative aspect of its existence doesn't summon up any red flags or "Safety Guidelines" it makes me wonder what on earth has been unleashed. Hypocrisy of the highest Gold Standard.

Ok it’s not just about Gemini but the whole Apple system and brand has been a disaster for me the last few years. The insurance is so expensive but it doesn’t have the support needed for the customer with vulnerability needs. It is not reliable for booking apps for anywhere other other than your current location for the booking. Marketplace will not accept the search parameters for Wales only location and the search has become more complicated than switching pages on the old A-Z Road maps. In fact I think it would be more convenient and reliable than Apple since the iPhone 11 apple has consistently failed to deliver. AI is just the latest example of disappointing innovation
