more I’ve been using this app for a few years now and found it to be a valuable asset. Not only does it advise me about my own vehicles road tax, Insurance and MOT anniversaries but I have also used it to help & advise my family and friends to look-up the details on their current vehicles and those that they (at the time) were potentially going to buy It is also very useful when being involved in a road collision situation as you can check (whilst at the roadside) to see if the other vehicle(s) are legally on the road and whether the authorities might be required to attend. For me, there’s nothing like this for ease-of-use and its applications are not only what I required but also expected. I’m really glad I installed this app which was back in 2019 as I’ve used it well over 100 times. I paid for the premium upgrade on different vehicle so that I had the technical specifications to hand for things like tyre pressures & sizes as well as other important information you may require. I think this is a really good app, especially for anyone who may need reminding about their vehicle requirements and it’s a blessing when involved with others on the highway. I paid an extra £4.99 for the Premium information, which in all honesty has to be money well spent and particularly as it is not a large sum. Rating - 5* 👍

We’ve had our recently sold car for two years! The Total Car Check app has been very helpful in purchasing that car, in conjunction with the good value comprehensive car checks one can buy via the app. We’ve researched lots of cars via the app, and having narrowed down the cars we were interested in, we were able to use the comprehensive car checks purchased within the app, which are definitely good value for money and well priced to look into the cars we were interested in. We have now purchased another used car and can’t recommend the app enough!We must stress though, it’s still important to do one’s own research and carefully study and investigate the cars one is interested in to ensure one is in getting good value for money and are “not being taking for a ride” i.e. deceived.

This release adds a new VIN look-up so you can now search for a UK registered vehicle using the VIN. We have also added a Safety Recall Check to highlight vehicles with outstanding safety recalls and a VIN Verification Check to match a vehicle reg to a VIN. Finally, we've made a some UI tweaks throughout, with the main changes being the Detailed Vehicle Spec now sitting next to the Basic Vehicle Spec in a stacked layout and long press added to some data items along with haptic feedback on various actions.

This release introduces new bundles for Advanced Checks, reducing the cost of purchasing multiple checks. We've also added a new Purchases & Subscriptions section to the profile page, enabling users to view their purchase history, restore purchases linked to their account and manage subscriptions.
Nicknames have been added to number plates in the garage (compact view only) and following user feedback from the classic car purists, black plates are now limited to pre-1973 vehicles only!

You can also quickly add an insurance date in the garage vehicle pop-up menu, and we’ve replaced the share option with a plate transfer shortcut.

This release enhances the Advanced Check, giving you deeper insights with valuations, previous keeper timeline, additional mileage records, and a damaged area indicator for vehicles that have been written-off.
For the MOT history, we have introduced a timeline and identified any gaps where a vehicle may have missed an MOT or been registered SORN.
We have also updated the mileage graphs to show any MOT gaps, along with a brand-new graph to show the average mileage for each year and also account for the COVID-19 lockdown period 2020–2022.
The Vehicle Services menu in the garage has been significantly improved with some UX magic, plus it now includes a handy snapshot of the remaining days for MOT, tax, and insurance.
Lastly, we have partnered with Book My Garage to provide instant prices for MOT, servicing, and repairs at local garages via the Book MOT / Service options.

The vehicle details page now has a quick action menu for important tasks, such as booking an MOT/service, buying tax, insurance, and breakdown cover. We’ve also added a much-requested dark mode option!
Lastly, after months of testing and feedback from beta testers there may still be a few hidden bugs littered around. If you spot one, please let us know so we can fix it in the next update.

This release adds free PNC stolen checks for premium users. A vehicle's VRM and VIN data can be checked against the Police National Computer for a stolen status.

This release adds a new VIN look-up so you can now search for a UK registered vehicle using the VIN. We have also added a Safety Recall Check to highlight vehicles with outstanding safety recalls and a VIN Verification Check to match a vehicle reg to a VIN. Finally, we've made a some UI tweaks throughout, with the main changes being the Detailed Vehicle Spec now sitting next to the Basic Vehicle Spec in a stacked layout and long press added to some data items along with haptic feedback on various actions.
