I find the idea of it helpful especially being able to let the school know of an absence. Unfortunately it happens quite regularly that the school don’t always see the messages and then send a message asking why my child is off!
Notifications not clearing

The app is useful in that it allows us to communicate with the school, but it’s clunky and awkward to use. My main issue is that I have regularly got notifications appearing on the apps widget that I have definitely read and yet it doesn’t clear. There is nothing in the app to indicate which messages are read/unread which makes it more awkward to use. I tried to find support in the app but it doesn’t appear to exist, and on the website you have to choose an agent to help you (but I have no idea which agent is which, or why I need to choose one)
My child’s details just disappeared

After several years of fairly problem-free service the app’s usability just gone downhill! Following the move from Primary to Secondary, my son’s details never migrated to receive details from new school and after following school’s advice to check and update details on Parents Portal, my daughter’s details which were already on the App and were receiving messages from the secondary school for past two years have disappeared as well! The “dedicated” website mentioned in the app description that should have some answers doesn’t actually work either!

I cannot award this app more than 1 star. I receive some notifications. Not others. I’ve missed events due to this app not functioning correctly or the school admin team from apparently making the same mistake repeatedly (which I doubt).There is no customer contact number. The advice is to log out then back in again, despite the app not having a log out button. I use the latest iPhone XR.I’m in the process of requesting manual updates from the school and am asking the head to scrap this app.
Improved iOS stability by fixing an issue where opening PDF and document attachments could occasionally cause a crash.
