I was prompted to look for an app like this after having recurring problems after some changes in my prescriptions. Normally I prefer a local face to face service, but every time I went in to collect at a small Boots nearby, there was a problem which I had to sort out with the local surgery, or they wanted to know when I required the next prescription (having been told several times before). The staff were constantly rotated, so you never got to see the same people twice, requiring repeated explanation. Their standard of English was poor. In contrast this app has so far been fault free and I haven’t needed to contact the surgery (a good job as communication with them by phone during lockdown would have been extra difficult). Reminders are sent in good time to me and the doctor for approval and so far only one request has been rejected, as it was asked for too soon. This happened when I first joined the app, I was away abroad and approved the request without realising it was premature. This hasn’t happened since and was easily sorted out by email. I suspect that the doctors find it easier to deal with as well...Recommended- 5 stars

I have been using this app for over a year now and it’s awful!!!!! I love that I don’t have to go to the pharmacy regularly and have my meds delivered but that’s where the good stuff ends. Lloyds app which I have been using previously was really good and was so easy to use. This one my oh my! First of all reminders that I have set up don’t work…. You get an email that you running low, follow the link and when I do it takes me to my the list of all my meds which is not what you want when you have more than 3 different meds it’s hard to remember which ones you need to order…. I can’t remove my old medication from the list (Lloyd’s app You could) And to contact the customer service is like getting through an impossible maze and when you do finally get somewhere you can’t chat to anyone…. Constant nudging to sell you more stuff you don’t need is another annoying thing! These companies make a fortune on distributing meds to us so why is it so difficult to use? Couldn’t they just buy Lloyd’s app which was a dream to use! Ps hubby also really dislikes this app and his meds are a lot more complex and dosages change sometimes every fortnight….. I am constantly looking out for a new company which will do the same service with a better app 😩

I have been using the Pharmacy2U site for a few months now. I take quite a lot of prescribed medicines for several complaints and although I had been set up on the EMIS repeat prescription system I became dissatisfied with it, meds ordered from the Doctors surgery often not ready at the local chemist for up to 4 or 5 working days. Often took repeated drive to the Chemist/Doctor to get sorted.Pharmacy2U are much faster, free to use (I am exempt) and up to yet have never let me down. Also, importantly their systems and procedures do the Doctor chasing for you. I got an email from them a couple of week ago advising me that although they had asked for a Prescription the Doctor had not sent it and further, Pharmacy2U had sent a reminder. The following day I got an email from Pharmacy2U saying they had got the prescription and were processing it, the meds duly arrived by Royal Mail tracked post, no break in supply.In a few words, I am really pleased with the efficient systems, excellent communication and overall service I get and I have no hesitation in recommending them Also, the I-pad app is easy to use, holds your info and history securely, piece of cake. As of v6.0.6 (August 2025) this is now pretty much useless. It doesn’t remember your login details so when you want to reorder your prescription you need to log in each time. When you log in and go to find your prescription it then prompts you to setup a family access thing to manage all family prescriptions in one place - a nice feature but one I will choose to find and enable if I need it. Clear that and it then tells you about your previous order (hey, look, we used to be vaguely competent once). Dig further through the badly designed interface to actually get to your prescriptions and then you can add it to the basket. But wait, did you also want to buy this super-duper special offer? No, press continue. Okay how about all these super-duper special offers, look, discounts on things?! No? Press continue again. Have the app then encounter an error and dump you back at the basket so you can repeat the trying to skip the second round of super-duper discounts all over again. And again. And again. And again.Tomorrow I’ll be putting in a request via my GP website and having the prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy to go and collect. Since being bought up by Pharmacy2U this service has gone from being genuinely useful to Ocado / Asda / Tesco but without the competence.
