Everything this app does it does fine. The issue is mainly that it doesn’t absolutely nothing of use. Usually, you’d expect that when a service offers a website and an app, the app would do as much if not more than the website. In this case you’d be wrong. You can’t log in, you can’t buy tickets, you can’t input your tickets to add to your wallet or journeys or live track your trains. It does very effectively tell you where your nearest station is with your location on and it does tell you what trains are going from that station soon. That is about all it does.

I usually don’t care about leaving low score reviews, but I believe IrishRail or the developer behind this app, needs to know how useles this app is.There is nothing enticing in it to use. It doesn’t solve anything. E.g. You can’t see your bookings, you can’t log into your account, you can’t set reminders or see time of arrival of your train. To book tickets it just sends you to the website.People need to book tickets on the go, with tailored mobile experience. The mobile responsive website version is surprisingly well made. But it means I have to open browser, open new tab, type domain address and have less mobile experience. I thought your app would solve that. Alas, I had too high expectations.

For a third time this week I have been late because of this app. No real-time updates to train delays. Usual it’s only 15 mins, but now it’s just ridiculous an hour wait without any warning? Late for work ? Like come on

This app is so basic, it really is a waste of the space it takes on your device. No ability to purchase tickets or seat selection. When looking at live train information, it doesn’t even state how many carriages are for each train. You could be one end of the platform and a 4 carriage Dart arrives meaning you have to make your way up the platform and squeeze in to the last carriage. Needs a complete overhaul and redevelopment.
