Sanchar Saathi is a citizen centric initiative of Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to empower mobile subscribers, strengthen their security and increase awareness about citizen centric initiatives of the Government. Sanchar Saathi is available in form of Mobile App and web portal (www.sancharsaathi.gov.in). Sanchar Saathi provides various citizen centric services as follows: 1. Chakshu - Report Suspected Fraud Communication 2. Block Your Lost/ Stolen Mobile Handset 3. Know Mobile Connections in Your Name 4. Know genuineness of Your Mobile Handset 5. Report Incoming International Call with Indian Number

Helped me find my lost phone within a month!

I’m really impressed with Sanchar Saathi! I had lost my phone and wasn’t very hopeful at first, but through this app’s tracking and CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) system, I was able to locate and recover it within a month. The interface is simple, and the process of reporting the lost device was smooth.Huge thanks to the team behind this initiative — it’s reassuring to know there’s a reliable, government-backed way to block and track lost or stolen phones. Highly recommended to everyone in India to register their device!Although you need to push the police a bit after location is traced for quick action.

I am using this App for the last 4-6 months now and have reported many cases which i or my family has personally gone through. I am reporting cases which include Courier fraud, call from fraud insurance/govt official/ cyber criminal agents hoping that the details provided by me to this app helps and saves many other Indian citizen to falling into the trap of these fraudsters. I would request to all those who are reading this review to help post all scams on this App in order to be in a safe environment

Good app for reporting malicious messages

This is a good app for reporting malicious and spam sms. Even though I have reported many cases, I am not aware of what action has been taken, since the app itself states that they will not give feedback on the action taken. That's not a positive step. It will instill faith in the public if the app makes a provision of displaying (with search option) the numbers against whom action has been taken. More people will then be encouraged to use the app.
