Pay in stores with PayNow SGQR or UEN
• Scan a PayNow SGQR code or key in the merchant UEN number on Google Pay to make purchases at your favourite shops or businesses that don’t accept credit or debit cards.

Can do better
Google, if you’re reading this, here are some of the problems you need to fix:
1) Chat function
- When I need help and click the chat function, it just keeps saying I am first in line even though I received a bunch of notifications from the agent. I can’t see anything they say because the screen is stuck at ‘You are first in line’.
2) Ability to pay by PayNow as well instead of just PayLah. Some people have different PayNow and PayLah accounts and there’s no reason why the money out is by PayLah and the money in is in PayNow.
3) The app interface at the front is confusing, with latest people you transacted with right at the top, then some movies and food, then transaction history at the bottom.
Did not receive my money
This incident happened in late October 2021. I was quite a loyal supporter of gpay then with its established system, brand and campaigns that hooked me and friends around me onboard with their service.
However, it really took that one failed transaction where money was deducted from my friend’s account but no payment was received on my end. And regardless of how many times I’ve tried to get updates or resolution from the support team, I only got the standard reply that they are working on it.
Till date, I have not receive any payment back or updates on this issue and I’m honestly so disappointed in gpay service and their support team.
Will not encourage payment or transfer via this platform, feels like 0 effort on the support side if you experience any payment issues.
Blatant false advertising
Offers tab states that one can get up to 2 scratch cards max per week by sending $10 to another user. However, since last event (Hawker Pals), it has only been awarding 1 card per week, despite even when sending to 2 users I have never sent money to before.
Many users have complained, and I have already sent email to support, who keeps updating every 3-5 working days just to say they are still looking into it. They even have the audacity to send a push notification to say we can earn up to THREE scratch cards per week, when we can only get ONE now.
Terrible disconnect between the technical backend team and the customer service. Just poor execution all around ever since they started going downhill with rewards and events.
