They used to be good but now they are nightmare

I used them for several years. They were fast in processing claims and never had issue. However, in the past few months they have been terrible. Claims takes weeks to process. Their app has too many glitch and I’ve to resubmit the claims over and over. They don’t ask for my dog’s medical record yet claim everything is pre-existing and deny it. Their customer service is horrible, most don’t speak English properly and they are not trained. Within 5 minutes you hear different answers for the same thing. So disappointing, they used to be really good.

Spot Pet Insurance has helped my family through the great difficulty of losing a young pet. Our beloved kitten, Hamilton, was diagnosed at 6 months old with a rare autoimmune disorder. Spot helped to cover the expensive costs of diagnosis, medications, and off and on hospitalization and vet visits over the next two months. We lost our sweet boy at 8 months old, a nightmare no pet parent should ever have to face. Spot was compassionate and gracious through the whole process. The app made it easy to submit claims, and Spot helped alleviate the financial burden so that we could focus on giving our best to Hamilton. After his passing, Spot reached out to us to offer their condolences. It has been so greatly appreciated during this horrible time. With that said, I highly recommend Spot Pet Insurance. They care about animals and their guardians. I have recommended them to many of my friends and fellow pet parents, and will continue to do so.

Easy to use app and great pet insurance company

The app is super convenient and user friendly, they make submitting claims easy as well as checking claim status, coverage, and deductible progress. I’ve had spot insurance for my first dog since we adopted her almost 3 years ago. I have had zero issues with the insurance nor the app. We tried a different company for my second dog and they just did not compare in price and the claim submission process was so difficult. Spot will reach out for medical records for you but the other company made us do all of that for them which can be difficult and somewhat annoying. We switched to spot for our second dog right after attempting to submit our first claim since it was such a hassle. Not to mention spot has a multi-pet discount and the other company did not.

I took out a policy on my first-ever pet/dog because I wanted to be able to handle any unexpected costs he might bring.I was playing fetch with my pet, and a freak accident occurred. He cried in pain. Immediately, I thought that $25 premium wasn't so bad. LOLI took him to the vet, and my bill was $388, something I wasn't ready for. That was last Friday. Today is the following Wednesday, and my claim has been paid exactly according to the terms of my coverage. I cannot commend Spot Pet Insurance enough for the ease and convenience of filing a claim and communicating with them. This is not my first claim, and my other visits have been the same—fast and efficient.I currently have two dogs, and now my children are switching their pet insurance coverage to Spot because they appreciate everything Spot is doing.I highly recommend Spot Pet Insurance for the peace of mind you deserve when it comes to your pet. You never know what the next moments in life will bring.
