The app works well by using video call and facial recognition technology in tandem with WiFi and your smartphone to unlock pionts of entry and gated communities. Once your credentials are verified you can use it from anywhere

I work in IT infrastructure and am trying to find the best solution for customers who aren’t tech savvy to be able to add employees to there Unifi camera system without needing to add them as an Admin. This idea of this app is great since it’s locked down and limited and all you need to do is log in.However the single camera feed without the ease of swiping between cameras feels super counterintuitive compared to how every other app functions. Obviously that’s a super minor issue since the app still does what it needs to do. It’s just a bit funny to consistently try and swipe do to muscle memory

Too Complicated

There are too many steps required to open a door. It takes all the convenience from the process. 1. Phone removed from pocket, 2. Unlock phone, 3. Locate the app, 4. Select door the function (open door), 5. Click button to open the lock. It’s absurdly cumbersome. This app should stay open in the background and unlock the door when it makes a Bluetooth handshake with the doorbell. The phone would stay in pocket. This is how modern luxury cars work. And this system is basically the Porsche of home management so why not? I really cannot state how much I hate this app and that I am now stuck with it to open the door of my home. Considering replacing.

Hi, we have optimized the Mobile Tap experience, which allows you to unlock the door while the phone is near the UA Reader, and the phone can stay locked. This requires UniFi OS 4.1.9 and is available in the following UA Readers: UniFi Access Intercom 1.5.11, UniFi Access Reader Lite 3.13.19, UniFi Access G2 Reader 3.13.17.0, and UniFi Access Ultra 1.5.5.0. The next firmware version for UA G2 Pro will add this optimization.

not sure why i can't use my apple watch with nfc or bluetooth to just hold it up to a sensor to unlock. just like the little pucks you get with the system. the app is pretty useless on the watch and phone especially if being used in a large business environment. you got doors all over the place. the phone will unlock a door it thinks your closer to but not. you gotta know every door name and location to use the watch. pretty useless. looks like these apps use your wifi network to connect to the doors. why are you not leveraging nfc or bt? should be pretty simple to add our phone and apple watches mac address and uid's to the controller. smh. this product line and software still have a long way to go to actually be useable in a business environment.

Hi, since supporting reading cards in the Apple Wallet requires new hardware, you must have UA G3 series of reader installed in order to use the Touch Pass function. Touch Pass allows you to add cards to your Apple Wallet for both iPhone and Apple Watch from the Identity Endpoint app. You can find out more by visiting our help center at help.ui.com and searching for Touch Pass.
