Update: I appreciate the response from TMobile Fiber. Although your app still does not give an option, or button for parental control under time limit as you stated…Your app description claims to offer parental controls, but this is not accurate. Setting a time limit for a device is not considered parental controls. Gigaspire’s main website indicates that routers have the capability to restrict website access to specific sites; however, your app has removed this feature. You do not provide a method for families to safeguard their household from unwanted web access. It is unreasonable to expect users to utilize a separate app/service or third-party device to set these restrictions when the router is already equipped with this functionality. This lack of access is highly disappointing, especially considering the high-quality and reliable nature of TMobile’s fiber internet service.
Hello M.ruckman, Thank you for your feedback regarding the T-Mobile Fiber: GigaSpire app. It looks like you were able to find the “Time Limits” options and just below that are the “Restrictions” where you can limit the use of applications, content, and specific sites. We have a FAQ on the T-Mobile Fiber site listed below that speaks to this as well. I’ve copied the specific GigaSpire section below. From the home screen, select the “People” tab to create a new profile. 2. Click the “+” in upper right corner. 3. Enter the name for the profile in the box and select at least one device you would like to add to this profile. 4. Select “Done” & then in the top right corner click “Save”. 5. To add a profile picture: Tap “Home” icon, then “People”, then select the desired profile. Once open, click “Edit” in the upper right corner in the profile and then the pencil icon to add a picture. 6. To remove a device from a profile, open that profile, tap “edit” in the upper right corner, select the device to remove, select “Yes” when asked if you want to remove. Once the Profile is created: 1. To set Time Limit schedules and turn Internet access off for all devices in a profile during specific times and days from the Home page tap "People" - tap on the profile you wish to apply the restriction - tap “Edit” and “+ Add” to add, then select at least one device and tap "Save". Go back into the desired profile, select "Time Limits >“ select the down arrow and then you can customize the days & times for the restriction - then hit “Save” in the upper right corner 2. To set Content Filters, Block specific sites or apps, from the desired profile, select Restrictions -, then go to Content Restrictions - and select the down carrot to select preset restrictions by age or customize your restrictions by selecting individual categories. Hit the back - to see the filter applied under Content Restrictions. 3. For Default Restriction options go to Home - My Network (Top center of page) - Tap "Default Restrictions" icon - then select which restrictions to apply to all the current or new profiles
