Description
Clock helps you manage your time on iOS, iPadOS and macOS. Check the current time anywhere with World Clock, make sure you wake up on time with Alarms, or keep track of passing time with Stopwatch and Timers.
World Clock
Check the current time in cities around the world. Or quickly see the time difference compared to your local time to make coordinating across time zones easy.
Alarms
Set regular alarms for any time of day. Choose to set them to repeat on specific days, give them a label and select the sound that plays with each. When your alarm goes off, you can choose to play from a selection of sounds, or pick a song from your Apple Music library.
You can also adjust your wake up alarm and sleep schedule from Health right in the Clock app so you can wind down with a Sleep Focus and make sure you always wake up on time.
Stopwatch
Measure the duration of an event. You can see how much time has lapsed with either a digital or analog stopwatch face, and you can quickly record laps or splits throughout the time.
Timers
Count down seconds, minutes or hours. Or count down using multiple timers, and add labels and distinct sounds to each. You can also choose to set a timer that stops any music playing in the background—perfect for getting to sleep with your favorite playlist.
Ratings and Reviews
No Audio During Alarms Fixed: I figured it out but man was that a pain
So for the past month I have been having issues with the alarms only alerting me with my haptics and not my music that I set for the alarms. I tried everything including upgrading from the 13 mini to the 15 pro as of a week ago. Still with the upgrade I was having the exact same issue. Yesterday I went into my music library and downloaded every song I’m using for individual alarm sounds. Once I downloaded them all I gave it an hour then force reset my phone (press and release the volume up button, press and release the volume down button, press and hold the power button until the phone turns off and continue holding until the apple icon pops up the screen then release power button and allow the phone to start back up) and now all my alarms work again. So moral of the story is if you don’t hear your alarm going off and you have music set as the alarm tone make sure to download the song not just add it to your library. Seems the alarms will only work with downloaded songs
Glitchy and Disorganized
I’ve used this app for as long as I can remember and the long list of alarms I set for various reasons gets to be confusing. It would be cool if there was a way to group alarms for various tasks/activities into folders. It would also be nice to be able to set an alarm for a particular date rather than just the standard day of the week. For example, when I find out I need to wake up early for a flight 3 Fridays from now, why don’t I have the option to set the alarm for the day I need it to go off? The current option forces you to set it for every Friday. It’s a small but annoying thing. I know lots of people use calendar reminders for this reason, but why not build in a calendar to make the alarm app more functional?
Another issue I’ve noticed more recently is, the swipe to snooze is so touchy that more times than not the alarm doesn’t swipe down properly and turns off rather than showing the option to snooze or turn off. I now have to use multiple alarms, as I can never trust the snooze is going to work. I can’t remember when exactly I started noticing this but I think it may have been after an update. Either way, after being a lifelong apple clock app user, I am considering deleting it and finding another one. I think this app has just been neglected or de-prioritized and is in need of a little TLC by developers or more people are going to stop using it.
Piece of JUNK
Read the other reviews as of lately, they are right. I don’t know what happened to this app in the last few years, but lately in just the last two weeks alone, I have “lost“ several alarms it disappeared mysteriously. And sometimes the alarm goes off but it’s not a very low rate and we don’t know why. Additionally, I missed a doctors telehealth appointment this morning because of this app, which is why I’m here looking to download replacements. Left and right swiping to delete alarms really needs to go, it’s an appropriate tool for something this important. It should at the very least and I stress the very least ask you if you are sure you want to delete it. This is not a supermarket app with Coupons where when you’re scrolling you can accidentally activate something no loss no gain really. I’m sick of this app, I thought it was the stock app that came with the phone, and although it probably did come with it I wasn’t even sure it was deletable until today because I never bothered to look. Do yourself a favor, keep looking for a replacement if you have to go one by one, because this one does not cut it. And dev, you don’t fool us with these people reviewing giving five star reviews stroking your telling you not to worry about the poor reviews. Tell your sister to stay home, she has better things to do then wipe your tears.
