Description

Find My

View the location of your Apple devices, locate items you’ve attached AirTag to, keep track of Find My network accessories, and share your location with friends and family in a single, easy-to-use app.

Features

View the location of your iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac, AirPods, devices in your Family Sharing group, AirTag, or Find My network accessories on a map, and get directions to their locations in Maps.

When you can’t find your nearby device, AirTag or Find My network accessory, play a sound to pinpoint its location. Get the distance and direction to your AirTag with Precision Finding.

Keep track of personal items with AirTag and Find My network accessories and share these items with up to five other people. Everyone in the group can use Precision Finding to pinpoint the location of a shared AirTag when they’re nearby.

Put devices in Lost Mode to lock the screen and display a message, or erase them remotely to protect your data. AirTag and Find My network accessories can also be put in Lost mode to display your contact information to anyone who finds them.

If your missing device, AirTag, or compatible third-party accessory isn’t nearby, the Find My app can still help you track it down using the Find My network. It’s all anonymous and encrypted to protect everyone’s privacy.

Use the People tab to share location with friends and family so you can keep in touch, coordinate, or know when a family member has arrived home safely.

Meeting up with people in-person is now easier too. With iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, you can use Precision Finding for directions that lead you right up to the person you’re looking for, whether at a park, a restaurant or even a music festival.

If you’re on an adventure without cell service or Wi‑Fi, you can use Find My on iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro to share your location over satellite.

On Apple Watch, use the Find Devices app to view the current location of your Apple devices, Find Items to keep track of AirTag and Find My network accessories, and Find People to share your location with friends and family members.

ok so find my has been helpful to me these past years but i lost my left airpod IN my house and i thought i could use the find my to find it. so when i got to find my i didn’t see my airpods in my devices so i tried to connect them and it said “add airtag” or ladd other item” i first did “add airtag
“ bc i didn’t know what it was but that didn’t work so i pressed “add other item” and when i tried it said “follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer to make your item discoverable” but i didn’t see any instructions. i looked up how to add your airpods to “find my” with one airpods but that didn’t work. i basically tried almost everything but it still didn’t work and idk why. so when y’all get a chance to see this can you please tell me how to connect my airpods with only one airpod with me so i can find my other. u also texted apple my situation and it just sent me this article of what to do and i didn’t EVERYTHING it told me to do and it still didn’t work. just please tell me what yo do u oh r give me your number so i can talk to a apple worker and they can help me. thank you:) but overall it’s an pretty good app.

I lost my Mac today outside in the intersection

This app let me know where my Mac was. It fell off the top of my car because I forgot I placed it there, I was getting my daughter in the car seat. Didn’t realize until an hour later on the way to my therapist appointment that my laptop was not in the car. I was freaking out , $2,000 laptop gone! It led me to where I took my turn down a street at a stop light, it was laying in the grass. The momentum of the car flew the laptop across the intersection. Only had a chip on the corner of the laptop. I was able to track the location down to the area perimeter. The “ring” to the device was no help in that situation -cause of the loud traffic. But the map helped me find it. I was about to just file a police report. But it was spotted near a sidewalk in the grass near the stoplight. I had a case on it at the time and it was inside a laptop sleeve. It was very hot. When I got home it was able to cool down then when I logged in…The app shut down the device and I had to go thru security question and login in from other apple devices I had tied to my account to get access into the computer. Thank you so much Apple for this! Saved my personal information and me from having to dish out more money for a new laptop. I had no insurance on it ..as it was a pay to own device from a third party seller.
