I really like my Hypervolt device, and overall the App is a great idea but it could be improved in two areas to provide a better user experience. First, when looking for routines the filter option is a bit cumbersome for Hypervolt devices. If you select a different Hyperice device it will filter routines according to that device (eg, Hypervolt Go), so for now it’s a bit hit and miss finding routines by having to scroll through All to select a right one that’s compatible with the Hypervolt. Second, the recommendations are a bit redundant. For instance if it notices I went for a run earlier that day, it will recommend various routines based on devices I don’t actually have. So again, a bit useless. If the filter and recommendations can be more tailored to the device(s) that a user may have linked to the app, then I believe the app will become a much better user experience all round.

It is literally a Virtual Healthcare Companion that seamlessly integrates with Apple Health and Strava to recommend Protocols to aid you in recovery based on your daily activity. The User Experience is PHENOMENAL and setup takes seconds. During setup you select what Hyperice products you own and all of the Programs are then filtered based on them. It doesn’t get any easier than this. Stellar Job!No matter what age, level or sport most Athletes want to skip straight to Play and neglect any effort to warmup or help themselves recover. Hyperice has been a game changer in this regard because they provided the Tools and Protocols that Prime us to PERFORM our BEST and facilitate healthy and necessary recovery so that we can continue to be the BEST versions of ourselves with minimal aches, pains, soreness and better QUALITY of movement. I’m a Masters Track Athlete and the Hyperice Products are a daily routine for me. They keep me fresh, they keep me safe, and keep my body moving the way its intended to. If you aren’t already on board, what are you waiting for?

UPDATED REVIEW. I gave this app five stars a couple months ago. Wish I could give it five more stars and some. The app just keeps getting better. They just added vocal coaching instructions to go along with music and video when you’re using the HyperSmart app. I’ve been using this app for a couple month along with my HyperVolt Plus with Bluetooth. I can honestly say there seems to be improvements made to the app regularly. It is better today than when I used it two months ago. I provided feedback on several occasions and see that my input was received and improvements implemented. It’s great when a company is willing to listen to feedback from it’s users and then constantly use that feedback from its users to make improvements to their products. No wonder they are number one in their respective market. They are winners and they work with winners from KOBE and the NBA, NBL, NFL, soccer, track and field and tennis with three time grand slam world champion Naomi Osaki. No wonder they are the official partners of the NBA. Kudos to the entire Hyperice team... you guys do businesses the right way. Keep winning!!

Update: latest update has listened to customer feedback, thank you!Original: With a heavy pricetag and having certain things only able to be performed from within the app, the app experience should match the pricetag of the product, and at the moment it does not. I am an app developer and with some very simple and obvious bug fixes you would probably raise most people's 1/2 stars to a 3/4 alone. I've honestly debated returning the product due to the app experience but hey big companies understand monopolies and where to cut costs and they decided the app was it. Poor user experience. Let an exec use the app for twenty minutes trying all different user stories and you'll probably get the budget pretty quickly, if there's any care for user's experience.
