⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Siri is actually really good now. The app is simple to use, and the AI makes conversations feel much more natural. Siri understands me better than it used to, and I can ask follow-up questions without having to repeat everything.I also like how quickly I can use Siri for everyday things like asking questions, setting reminders, checking information, and controlling my iPhone. The interface is clean and easy to understand.There are still a few problems. Sometimes Siri misunderstands me, gives an answer that doesn’t really help, or takes a little too long to respond. I’d also like to see Siri become even more capable with complicated questions.Overall, Siri has come a long way. It feels much smarter and more useful than the old Siri, and I’m excited to see what Apple adds next.

I’m pretty sure that there’s not enough space to tell you everything that I’ve done with it so far. So I’ll just give you a few. I like that it connects everything. I will say you wanna ask for a summary because if not, it will show you a whole bunch of apps instead of the information that you need. But once you ask for a summary of maybe a person or a thing or every morning I ask for a summary of my day to include all of my reminders and any notes that I need to remember about anybody who’s on my schedule. Beautiful summaries. It connects so many things together from a whole bunch of apps. Also, I think it’s cool that you can be honest screen and if you have the information that you’re trying to put into a text box, you can just push your button for SIRI and say what you want to fill it in with. For example, there was a text box and I needed to put somebody’s phone number in there, but I didn’t have their phone number available in my head rather and so I said which contact and it put the phone number in the text box. It was not a messenger or anything like that. It was something in chrome. Anyway, I love it.

I was very hopeful given Apple’s marketing and keynote because the general concept of full system (semantic) indexing is obviously the right thing to do, but it was executed so terribly. Siri can’t do anything. That it does it does wrong, often with errors. It can’t even find notes when I give it the name verbatim. So often it’ll tell me “open the app and do it yourself” which is literally the worst possible response imaginable — especially after 10s of loading. I’m at a loss to how it can be so brutally incapable. Not to mention it’s so prudishly censored and exceptionally slow. Where I used to get a quick recall from Wikipedia, I now get a less informative, slow, energy exhaustive, unhelpful, unextendable, ai-summary.Not to mention that this app in particular is unbelievably generic in a way that is an enormous letdown coming from Apple. I was anticipating how Apple was going to put intention behind LLMs to improve the lives of the humans using their devices, but to see the same old list of text chats is an embarrassing admission that Apple has truly lost their edge for life-centered software design. All that’s left is aesthetics and marketing: smoke, mirrors, and a puddle of Liquid Glass beneath

This isn’t ChatGPT. This isn’t Gemini. This isn’t Claude. This isn’t Grok.This is Siri. And Siri is an incredible virtual assistant, just as Siri was always meant to be. Siri doesn’t make images, doesn’t have projects, doesn’t have multiple models and usage tracking and memory. Siri has your entire phone available on tap. Anything you give access to, be it your messages, emails, health data, anything you can think of on your phone is available at a moment’s notice. Apple doesn’t use Siri to think for you or be opinionated or be your AI girlfriend. Instead, Apple uses Siri to be your assistant in every day life. Want to remember context from 3 different conversations and make a calendar event out of it? Just as Siri a vague question, and it will work, complete with locations, reminders, and descriptions.This is Siri as good as we all remember it being on the iPhone 4s, and it finally delivers. Welcome back, Siri!
