Jamboard is G Suite's digital whiteboard that offers a rich collaborative experience for teams and classrooms. Watch your creativity unfold: you can create a Jam, edit it from your device, and share it with others. Everybody can collaborate on the Jam anytime, anywhere. For businesses and schools that use Jamboard hardware, you can use your iPhone or iPad to join or open a Jam on a nearby board.
* Draw with various pens and colors to bring your ideas to life.

So much potential
This can be so much more with the iPad and pencil. It is fairly unstable right now as it crashes infrequently. Connection to jamboard is there with WiFi delay. Please develop this app Google! Primary use may have been intended as a whiteboard space but there's a lot of untapped potential utility in that tablet form with pencil compatibility.
Just for reference I also have a Pixelbook and Google pen, but the apple pencil 2nd generation works better overall. (Magnetic charging, thin profile, double tap)
App doesn’t work unless your team is on the same WiFi network
You definitely can not share this “innovative whiteboard” with people anywhere in the world, unless they are on the same WiFi network.
I tried this out with two of my iPads at home while they were both connected to the same network. It was working fine until I attempted switching one iPad from using the WiFi to my cellphone data, and then I got disconnected from the jamboard and the devices were no longer able to stay connected with each other. The second you get disconnected from the jamboard, getting back in is incredibly difficult. Especially if both devices continue drawing. The jamboards will not sync up when you reconnect.
This is a cool concept, but it just doesn’t work. It is just way too glitchy.
My favorite quick sketching app
I don't have a physical Jamboard but this app works great on the iPad with Pencil. Best part is the automatic sync to the web so I can view and share designs from the desktop. Also can Airplay from the iPad to Zoom calls and external displays.
Wishlist? More efficient tool and color switching and easier board naming.
