I knew I had been drinking too much alcohol, and drinking almost every day. Drink Control helped me realize just how much I really was drinking. I really like how easy it was to customize my input screen to the types of drinks I typically had and create custom drinks, too. It would remember the last drink I had, so input was super quick. Since it converted everything to UNITS of alcohol, I knew just how many drinks really were in that 6 ounce, 12% glass of wine or in the 24 oz 5% hard seltzer or that big, extra dry martini from my favorite bartender. After tracking all of my drinks for a year, being brutally honest with myself about what I drank the night before (even looking in my trash for the empties, asking the bartender or my friends, or looking at my credit card charges), I saw aaallll those red lines and decided I was done. Moderation for me didn’t work, so I quit. I found the TLC online sober community and haven’t looked back. Six months later, I still have the app and relish inputting Dry Day after Dry Day. Whenever I need a reminder, I look back on my drinking history in the app (which was just one year of more than two decades of struggling with alcohol). So glad I quit!
