If you don’t keep the app open and the phone unlocked, it will give you a notification that you can lose sync by running it in the background. I can’t think of any other Bluetooth accessory that can’t run in the background. This seems like the most basic feature. Truth be told, it generally is OK, but sometimes it does lose its connection. They should not treat us as a feature… Recognize it for the bug that it is and fix it.

I appreciate that this app tries to function as a remote for my WalkingPad, but it doesn’t work properly whatsoever. I can’t control the speed either via Apple Watch or the phone app. It sometimes allows me to change the speed via my Apple Watch, never can adjust via my phone. The WalkingPad beeps constantly on certain speeds and only shuts off after I’ve either raised or lowered the speed—it’s never the same. There’s also no way for me to actually stop the belt. I can hit “stop” in the app or “pause” via my watch, and all it does is beep and stop recording time and distance. Doesn’t slow down, doesn’t stop. I have to get off the belt while it’s moving and manually turn it off. More than once the belt has just stopped mid-walk while trying to figure out the speed and it’s truly dangerous. This app shouldn’t be in the store.

The app is pretty good over all. I like that it tracks previous days activity and shows what I have done overall.One thing I wish you would improve. If you pause your workout, stop the belt, after maybe five minutes it resets all statistics to zero in your current workout session and starts a new workout session.I have a daily goal I try to hit when I walk during work and it makes it hard to track that daily goal when my stats get reset if have to step away for a few minutes. Please either give us the option to not have our current workout session reset to zero when the belt is stopped, or add an extra view during the workout session that shows your currently accumulating totals as of the current day not the current session.If you do that, this app is 5 stars. I also love the walking pad. Got a R3 hybrid+ it is a really well designed product. Thanks.

This truly is just an “ok” app, but could really use some work.Pros: fairly easy to set up, tracks a lot of stats, connects to my watch and Apple fitness (most of the time)Cons: the pause button only stops the workout (so if I have to step away multiple times, I just rack up workout counts for short periods of time, which is frustrating), I don’t think there is internal storage or tracking because sometimes it will not record my walks and I will lose data (also frustrating), my Apple Watch sometimes has issues with connectivity, Apple fitness/health also has some issues with recording activity (I think I mostly figured it out but it took some time), the stats are also not entirely accurate as I’ve noticed it counts more steps than I actually takeOverall I wish the pause button actually worked, the step count was more accurate, and it would still have a tracking history of data in case the workout info didn’t transfer
