Since October I have been having troubles with the app on my iPhone 14. I can no longer access the app at all. I put in my user name my cell phone number, my password, and I am denied access to the app now on my phone and my iPad. I have called the helpline several times. The last time was Thursday the December 22 and the lady could not help me at all just like prior to getting a hold of somebody before. She gave me a reference number like somebody was going to call me back right away. I’m still waiting. I have shopped at Safeway cars for over 33 years. If I can’t get this app to work on my phone then I have no choice but to shop elsewhere. I’m going to lose all my points I have saved. I can’t put any of the savings on a digital coupon because I don’t have access to the app. Please with somebody please help me with this.

The app does not let you make any choices. It will just keep having you put in more more words to try to get what you want and if you’re having problems already downloading the app you’re really going to have problems trying to get the app to deliver it to your home or even try to pick up I kept out putting it in for today to go pick it up but then after I’m all done paying for it it says no you can only go pick it up on Monday the 26th I don’t want my food after Christmas so it should tell you that right away and then the searching is very tedious as you have to have Word for Word identical and I don’t have some of those words I know what I want but now I can’t even get my order and I have no way of canceling it before Christmas so $400 and I can’t change my order so that they already got my money and here I am it won’t let me. I had all my coupons in there and now they taking them out charging me $455 and I won’t even get it till after Christmas. I don’t need the food then he’ll be too late. I want my prime rib today not after Christmas is over so let me know how you can cancel my order.

I’ve had trouble adding items from the weekly ad to my shopping list on the app for a while but I could at least go to the browser to do so. However, this past week, they completely removed that option! Per Customer Service:“Mary: Thank you for waiting, upon checking there's a system enhancement including the weekly ad, as of this weekend, you will no longer be able to clip items from the weekly ad to your list from the website or view item details. As well as use the Weekly Ad Search feature.”This is certainly no “Enhancement”. It means you need to juggle two sources for weekly ad deals & personalized deals, takes much more time, loses the convenience of having items grouped by store location, and will result in a higher demand for paper ads. Carr’s used to have the best shopping app but they are going backwards while their competitors (like Fred Meyer) are moving forward to increase convenience on their apps. You are now officially the worse app.

Carrs is my primary grocery store and I’ve shopped here often for many years while using the app.First off, the app rarely works, it takes forever to load and oftentimes, I’m already through the store and checked out by the time it does. On the rare occasion it works, it will crash while searching for a scanned digital coupon so I can never use them.Health- I can’t log my health goals or challenges because I get stuck in a login loop. I log in, click anywhere in Health, and I’m right back to the login. I have missed out on many daily goals simply because I can’t get logged in.Rewards- I’ve had many rewards say they expire at the end of the following month, just for them to expire at the end of the current month. I enjoy picking and choosing grocery rewards so that’s what I normally use pts on, it’s very disappointing when it tells me I have another month to use them just for them to expire suddenly.Weekly Ad- Cannot get to load, it pops up an error message to check back later, but it’s been months and later hasn’t resolved this yet.Pharmacy- this is the best working feature of the app and I’ve never had a problem with it. I love how easy and convenient the app makes it to refill multiple medications.Recipes- I love that they provide inspiration and recipes for tasty delicious meals.Overall, I think the app would be great if the bugs can get worked out, but until then, it’s very frustrating.
