Old Traded In Phones Stolen at AT&T Warehouse.

I’ve been with AT&T since Singular Wireless that’s around 25 years. I’ve always been happy with service and honesty of the company and its employees. Recently, I traded 3 old phones for new ones. It occurred to me to send in two iPhones in one box using one shipping label. What happens at the AT&T warehouse is that a criminal employee realized that the second phone could not be tracked and stole it. He/she never reported it as received and got it out of the warehouse. I called AT&T to ask them why they were crediting only one phone and they said that they only received one. I explained I them that I sent two phones I one box and they said it was my fault for doing that and basically, that they don’t have any method or procedure in place to determined if an employee stills traded in phones at their warehouse. So they didn’t have meant credit and now I’m paying way higher price for the new phone and with no way to make the criminal pay for my stolen phone. Don’t trust AT&T trade in procedures.

I find extremely difficult to resolve the non return fee issue by chatting. This is the 3rd time I have communicated by chat for this issue. And still not resolved. I feel as though even though the agents are trying there is an extreme difficulty in being understood on both ends. Not a fan of this method of resolving issues. Trade-In Issue Eventually Corrected, But Customer Had to Do All the Chasing

I had an ongoing billing and trade-in issue with AT&T that took far too much follow-up to get meaningful answers. My returned device had already been received, yet a non-return fee was still applied, and the explanations and timelines I was given kept changing. Communication was slow, and I had to repeatedly reach out through chat just to get basic status updates and clarification.To AT&T’s credit, it now appears the trade-in issue may finally have been corrected because my bill dropped significantly, down to about $333. However, the overall handling of the matter was frustrating and required too much effort on my end. A customer should not have to push this hard to get a billing issue properly addressed.
