Because you cannot upload multiple payments via a csv file as a batch you are stuck to paying invoices one by one. But because the app is very easy to use then the negative point of the website is negated. Also the app can scan a cheque which is much more useful than visiting the bank. Reliability issues have improved a lot in the past few months.
Recent update good but broken one vital function
HopwoodBoy
This latest update is good and gives a better layout and at last it brings Touch ID. However, one massive loss to this new version is that each transaction no longer shows the reference that you added when making a payment. This is ridiculous as that was one of the most useful elements of the app - to let you keep track of people and bills you've paid. This now means that to check on payments to suppliers I've had to start using the desktop version again which when I'm traveling on business and need a quick check on whether a payment has been made, is very inconvenient. Do BOS app developers not both user testing their apps before release? 😡I can't for the life of me understand why BOS have removed this vital functionality! PLEASE RE-ADD THIS INFORMATION ASAP!!
Payments & Transfers
Graedon
I have recently noticed a change to this app and to the Halifax app relating to payments & transfers. One of my customers contacted me today saying she had made a payment into my account. It doesn’t show in my transactions ( which it would have done before). It HAD been added to my balance though but not showing in my account transactions. This is not an improvement!! I presume it’s because it’s out of banking hours, but it doesn’t show as a pending transaction either !In fact it caused me to make a duplicate payment in my Halifax app because I thought the transaction had not gone through - so I’ve paid TWICE!!!!! Aargh!!!!! Not good sorry.
Won’t let you register new device.
Scottish Ray
App was working but got a new iPhone and it won’t let me register a new device, three weeks I’ve been waiting so far for a solution. Called BoS today and was told to basically keep trying the app now and again which just left me more annoyed.Update 4 months later no further forward after visiting branch a week ago when I thought it maybe a step in the right direction was told today needs a new app build to fix known (Very Well Known Issue) so that minimum of 4mo this and nothing in the pipeline just keep checking is what your told, well not good enough BoS. Don’t bother clicking on App Support Link as that doesn’t work either it’s been disabled by the looks of things.
No big updates this time, just some under-the-bonnet improvements to keep everything running smoothly.
