APPLE HEALTHKIT
We also use HealthKit to allow users to share their activity and workout data with the app. This data is used to incentivise users to stay active.
Once I got my Log In sorted, it appears to work very smoothly.It would be nice if when a space becomes available & you are in the waiting list for a class, that it automatically placed the person on the top of the waiting list in the class & not send out the “Free for All” E-mail that it does now……it could then E-mail the person or better still message then to say this had happened. Just a thought.

I first tried to use this app when I first joined up to the gym over a year ago. I can’t even remember if I got to connect the app to my membership but at least got far enough to register the account. The only consistent thing about this app is that it doesn’t work! Today I went back on as I’m starting to think about taking some classes which considering what everyone pays for gym membership you’d expect perks like booking classes online or an app in this day and age. So today tried to log into my account and had to reset the password which is fine it’s been a while I might not be 100% correct with what I think. So I reset it again and try and log in and it’s not having it try and few more times but the password is not working. So I rest it again and have apple save the password and try to log in once again but it still won’t work! I don’t like to give up too easily so I decide to try and set up an new account on a different email address! Once again I write down and the same thing again so rest the password and have apple save the password and try again but NO. So I have since tried using the website and tried to log in using both accounts and it turns out the website is just as useless as the app! I may try again tomorrow using the last password I used which I have saved on my iPhone but I don’t hold out much hope. The app and web site is a great idea but considering how many gyms are part of this business and how many members each gym has who would benefit for this it pretty bad they can’t produce a proper product. Let’s hope they sort this out but considering the other reviews I don’t see it happening anytime soon.

This has to be the most clunky app I have ever had the misfortune of using. To book a swim at my local leisure centre I have to manually input my membership number despite being logged into the app. I can’t cut and paste the number from the membership card page so I have to manually write it down. I select my swim session and then proceed to pay which despite being logged into the app I have to type all my details in again, then all of those details AGAIN to pay and which doing so I type in my postcode, select the correct address but then have to manually select the country! The one good thing about this is that by the time I’ve booked a simple swim session I have burnt several calories typing the same information repeatedly and my heart rate has increased in temper.

This edition - my membership covers 3 locations. Can not tell which location I’m in. 😵💫 buttons are too small. The least important and never used button is upgrade to premium membership and is much bigger than book a class or open your membership card to scan 🙄 poor usability Developers. Please make the membership card available from any screen via persistent navigation. The new booking alerts section can mean 6+ clicks before I can get to the membership card to get through the barrier. People can be waiting behind me. Update - would be great if the membership card was accessible via the app navigation. I book onto a class in the car park and then have to scan in the gym but to access the card is several clicks meanwhile people are queueing behind me. Ideally the membership qr would be available for the Apple Watch so I could tap in more easily. Update — The card to pass the gym barrier is only within the app. I don’t want to bring my phone into the gym because the lockers don’t lock. I wear an Apple Watch as many gym members do yet there is no Apple Watch app.
