If you're an audiophile, then like me, music is your life. From AM radio, to my mom's 8-tracks, I was always captivated by music. Listening to Outlaw Country while fixing fence with my dad's cow hands, and borrowing my sisters giant headphones to listen to Rubber Ducky, being gleefully crooned by Ernie from Sesame Street. I heard the birth of disco, punk rock, and enjoyed what will one day be known as the best decade of rock n roll (1970's). Now I'm grown, and so are my tastes; like me, my children were raised with music omnipresent. I have diverse influences, and favorites, which I'm happy to have passed onto to my kids- if you're unprejudiced against any genre of music, you can't really stay prejudiced against anything. The joy of music is the greatest uniter of mankind. Now I'm blessed enough to share my greatest love (besides my wife) with my grandchildren. For all of them, Apple Music has been there. It's like magic to me, who spent long hours with my hand on the record button, trying to catch my favorite songs, without a silly DJ getting in the way. I'm glad they don't have to; they get all the music I listened to, along with there's, plus anything we may discover along the way. The family plan is a gift we've all enjoyed- only I don't take it for granted. It's terrific they can. Give the inestimable gift of music- the gift that just keeps on giving.

While the app is well designed from the ground up, from generous customizability of the user’s library to extensive ways to explore new music, Apple Music has a small but slowly growing collection of minor annoyances, though I wouldn’t switch services because of them as is. 1- Most frustratingly, the limited number of search results. When searching a song that has been remade by (sometimes literally) dozens of artists, the list lengths appears to be capped, which can lead to preventing the user from finding the version they like best. 2- The Year-In-Review feature doesn’t allow the user to go back later and review all of the same info within the app, such as for favorite album of the month. 3- “Play next” is an incredibly useful feature, but creating a separate queue from songs in a shuffled library or playlist can be frustrating if the user wanted the song to play at a specific point, and even if “play last” works instead, this can still be an issue in a long playlist or library shuffle.
Small, easy-fix issues, but they exist.
